I choose... Peaceful Protester :devilish: 🍌🍊🍎🍗🍔🐟🐠🐡:poop::devilish:

OK... we have 8 or 9 months to gather materials, to train, to get the credits needed (I'm at 3 billion... a chunk needed before I can buy a fleet carrier that can't be destroyed)... all in Horizons and in glorious VR.

I've watched the popular and well known youtuber's such as Obsidian Ant, Burr Pit, Yamiks and others that I've forgotten at the moment. All wrapped up in the fleet carrier shenanigan's that VR has gone off the radar. Also FDev recorded 16K+ logins for a Friday (second highest from 18K+) so they are not really bothered about any noise the VR Kickstarters or VR player base can make. So it's time to prepare for Odyssey 2021: The New Era... The year of the Unwanted Canister!

Cheep ships, cheep cargo... dropped into every community event, popular mining site, fancy meeting place etc. Like the fish in the tank 'Finding Nemo' Lets mess the place up with canisters. Even if they exclude Biowaste from their collector limpets they can have fruit instead or water💦 😂 or something else that they will have to dump themselves. A canister is a canister. I know they only exist for a short time... but a protest is a protest.

I've renamed some of my ships... VR Lament, VR MuckSpreader, VR Pistoff, VR Have It!... I'm working on more.

Just A thought at the moment... whilst I'm cooking... although I think I've burnt it 😂

Of course they know it's a critical feature, I am quite sure they are not just turning off VR in Odyssey because they hate us or to spite us, which is why I don't understand why people are complaining so much about it.
Not so sure about it...
Do you remember the Universal Cartographics for Fleet Carriers?
When FDEV introduced additional services all explorers actually took it for granted... except FDEV! What does it mean? That sometimes what is critical for us players is not critical for the developers
"Not at launch" means that it will drop at a later date. If it wasn't coming at all they'd have said "Odyssey will not have VR support"
It's pretty simple.
Ok.. uhm.. so where are all the other SRV's variations that were supposed to come after Horizon's launch?
And... where is PSVR that was supposed to come after the PS4 launch?

Not at launch is a typical sentence that is often used to "forget" what is not a core feature for a developer... and since the VR quality dropped in the last updates (missing orbit lines in the FSS and keybinds not working for the in-game ships paintkit preview) and considering what David Braben said in an interview some time ago that VR is a niche and it will never be the future of gaming, it's pretty understandable that all these things combined together describe a dark future for our favorite game.
I don't understand though why non-VR players are concerned about our protest.
Anyway we're not asking to delay Odyssey or we don't want to remove things from the game. This is not a selfish protest.
We're only looking for certainties and some clear official statement that confirms a roadmap and a time-frame for the VR support in Odyssey.

Because that's the way of things these days. Anything that doesn't directly affect someone or that they have no interest in - must therefore be stupid, bad and fought against regardless.

Welcome to 2020.

I need a hand held sniper pulse weapon, some hand grenades, some explosives to plant and run away, plus all the other things soldiers get as well ...

Well not sure what to think about it. Actually i dont get any hopes up that new expansion will add more interesing stuff if they leave the game in this shape.
Sure i can run around and land on new planets, but does it add new stuff that keeps me playing ?
If nothing else changes, this will wear out fast and then its the same old boring stuff we all do for years now.

That's a good point, perhaps I've made a fundamental mistake and just assumed that some of their devs do actually play the game. Perhaps they should set up some beta tests for us players... ;)

This thing about walking on planets and moons that are "untouched since time began", can only mean this will take place in a part of the Galaxy that is, at the moment, permit locked. Anybody want to hazard a guess as to which one/s it will be?

I'm sure there's an edition of "Call of Duty" with all of those things.
It’s also got SLFs, EVA firefights, zero-G boarding of enemy ships, mother ship internals and atmospheric worlds. Apart from the terrible dialogue spouted by the main baddie, I think it was a very fun experience and don’t know why it got all the internet hate.

It’s also the second CoD I’ve ever bought, the other one being the first game. Oh, and it’s got my two favourite sci-fi Claudia’s in it, so it immediately gets an extra star from me :)

Well I remember Universal Cartographics got added to Fleet Carriers after a massive amount of feedback, so not sure what your point is.

I disagree. It just means that you will be the first to walk on an undiscovered planet outside Colonia/Bubble

I read an interview with David Braben talking about these permit locked systems. He stated that they would be used for adding content to the game. So it crossed my mind that maybe these 'Spheres of conflict' could be in one or more of these regions. It was just a thought to get people talking about something other than VR in this thread. I guess it never really worked though. The flat screeners are still having ago in the VR threads. Ah well, such is life.
