FC Jump Sequence in VR

I absolutely love the jump sequence in VR in my FC, the sound design is fantastic (apart from that weird fog horn thing during stage 7 which I don't like or feel fits in anyway 'Berp, Berp, Berrrrrrrrrrrrrrrppppp!'). WTH is that supposed to be?

Anyway, it is pretty obvious that FDEV don't care about VR anymore but if that should ever change, I think the one thing (other than getting rid of the weird fog horn) that would make that jump even more awesome is if after the interior lights dimmed and the jump started it appears as if everything outside of the ship moves away from you, just like in the first few episodes of Battlestar Galactic then back to normal as the jump ends. I have a feeling I've seem a video that shows that is what happens if you aren't playing in VR and if so they probably ditched the effect in VR because they were worried it would make people feel sick.

It wouldn't and it would be AWESOME!! FDEV if by some miracle you read this thread please consider what I suggest and if anyone see this in VR and I'm missing a setting please let me know (y)

I think all players got shafted on the jump sequence there, not just VR players.

Most expensive thing in game, and you are left with the microwave simulator ?

I think it's pretty evident they don't expect anyone to be online while the SC jumps.
Just plot your jump, log off and find a sandwich would most likely fit their intended game play there.

I read somewhere that Frontier never really bothered with a "first person" rendering of the jump, in that what looks cool from a distance actually looks rubbish if you get close enough to the FC. In other words, it's not merely the need to add a window or bridge view, but Frontier would need to build an actual first-person jump sequence animation as well.

WHICH THEY SHOULD.

It's pretty much the jump sequence for capitals that has been in the game from the start.

Considering how many times this update was delayed they could have given this another go, but not really that much surprising that they didn't.
If someone asked me.

I'd take 3 new SRV's over my carrier, just saying.

But they put so much effort into the sound design for it.

It is weird that the sound is always amazing. I don’t know how they manage to keep hold of whoever is responsible for that department or the sound engineers doing the work if different. They are very talented.

Or did they?

The sound design team are almost universally (and rightly) praised for their excellent work. So much so I suspect they have sound clips and mixes sitting in ’dump files’ and in temporary folders along with post-it notes and old cigarette packets covered in scribbled ideas all skewered on the editors spike. Perhaps when they saw that no one had bothered with an on board jump view and that no one thought about a sensible way to transfer tritium from cargo storage to the depot itself they shrugged their shoulders and said “just dig out some stuff from the Recycle Bin, it’ll do.” .......and it does, because they are that good.

It‘s a backhanded compliment from someone who, despite some daft design decisions and omissions, is really enjoying his Carrier. Just a shame that some things weren’t deemed worthwhile.

I want a bridge!!!! what are you doing I wanna bridge!!

It's because they haven't done anything, at all.

The capital ship jump sequence is the same as it was in 2015 for whenever a cap ship enters\leaves a CZ.
Yeah, the sounds are nice, but that was probably just because they happen to have hired someone competent in that department who knocked it out in a week. Sounddesign isn't as complex and time consuming as graphics would be.
The human brain is also exceptionally easy to trick into immersion with sounds than anything else, well perhaps smell.
