Is Planet Zoo going to get any bird like a vulture or eagle or even a toucan I would really like to have some birds in the game. I feel like the players including me would enjoy having some birds.
Thanks
Thanks
Honestly I don't see a difference between adding a mammal or bird as a habitat animal. Like you said, If they will have the same performance cost, then it will all be the same in terms of performance when 4 habitat animals are added per DLC, whether it is a bird or a mammal. Right now there are animals that have 10 offspring per litter. If the number of animals were really a problem they would first cut down on the litter size. Birds are typically going to have very few young, so when you look from that perspective they will be even more economical than some of the animals we already have in the game. Therefore I don't think performance is the issue here. It's a design choice, mainly. This is not possible. He has problems with animals that need the Frontier 3D motion system (Birds, Marine Animals). We saw an example of this with JWE. The reason for this is technical problems. Birds will cause the game to slow down excessively. Even now there is a lot of lag in the game(after a while). so I don't think anybody will like more lag. I don't think today's technologies can handle such a system yet. The game has an incredible amount of calculation, and I think there is an optimization problem, so the game is already slow. If the birds had a real movement system and had a real artificial intelligence, I think no one could build a zoo. a Quantum computer would be required for this.
On the other hand, terrarium animals had the right to have a real artificial intelligence. it would be a bit silly for birds to have real artificial intelligence. and as I said, this is a very difficult thing. These are "birds". it cannot be limited to just 1 or 2. Do you think it is possible for each of the 100 birds to have a separate motion system and a separate artificial intelligence? Do you think it's a good thing even if it is possible? If you are going to put 1-5 birds in your zoo then there is no problem. but today there can be thousands of birds in a zoo. When players take inspiration from this and put hundreds of birds in zoos in this game, there will be an incredible delay and after that the players will complain. sorry but this is what will happen. this is very clear. There are no delays in the game according to the size of the animals. most people get this perception. codes running in the background, delays occur as the animals with artificial intelligence increase. If you think birds will not be a sepep in the game because they are small creatures, you are very wrong. A bird with artificial intelligence and an elephant with artificial intelligence will cause the same delay in the game. I hope you understand the equation.
I don't know how I can tell that more. similar issues have been opened before, people made the necessary explanation there.
Fundamentally, I feel the Pteranodons from Jurassic World Evolution are relatively similar to the exhibit animals, with the exception that they don't change spots. They have a looped animation that lasts a few minutes. That said, I would also prefer birds to be habitat animals. I agree that they won't fit with the current exhibit system as it is, since it wouldn't make sense to have them idle all they long like reptiles. So either they need a third, new, in-between system for birds or simply add them as habitat animals by giving the players tools to close off the top of habitats.
I’ve been thinking about this and it struck me, how much do birds in zoos actually fly?
But even with the Blijdorp aviary for vultures, which I have seen, they aren’t fluttering all over like some people seem to think birds in the game need to do. They could move around in the same way I suggested in my post, flying from a high point to a low and from two points of similar heights without the complexity of moving around every available part of the space.
