Multiple accounts - exploits

The problem is transferring credits is impractical without the recipient owning a carrier.
Speaking of, I used this as a fair and legitimate way to transfer my wealth from PS4 to PC without wiping out my saves on PS4. Considering how many hours I invested in ED on PS4, and the fact it was Frontier's negligence of the PS4 that drove me to PC, forcing me to start over, I feel zero guilt in using this mechanism to transfer wealth. In fact, I feel highly vindicated!

I have a second account on a laptop who sits in his T9 and every 10 minutes buys 8, 16 or 21 (depending on what shows up) units of Tritium for 4k at a station.
I have to press the button every ten minutes of course, but I work on the PC next to it so just means reaching over and clicking.
When the ship is full I fly it out to my carrier and he sells it to me for 2k.
Takes a lot of time but beats racing round the bubble in the carrier. And I can concentrate on making 100 million an hour on passenger missions out of Robiga.

That's actually a brilliant idea!

You know, somebody could [takes bullet to the chest from an FDev sniper before finishing sentence] .................

Some guy gave me grief because my alt gives me an extra pip (not that I need it because I fly shieldless half the time). So would he be okay if my wife was sitting in front of the laptop that has my alt? I'm sure she'd be happy to do so, though I suspect that's all she would do.

Now if I wasn't playing in VR, I would set up both laptops side-by-side and use my alt's view as a rear-facing camera. That might give me a very slight tactical advantage in combat, though not as much as VR does IMO.

Its why its a grey area, its down to interpretation and dubious design. Why should a crew member give you an extra pip to play with? A flight engineers job is to take systems management from the pilot.

It is not a big deal worth considering as an exploit. I've had two PC accounts for years and have flown them both in the same instance. It was fun seeing me and the other me even requesting friendship and accepting it, comms with me to me and other silly moments. Making credits between the two was never worth it as the biggest grind in the game while today I can make up to 150 million credits/hr in several play styles. Like a turtle I'm patient. I had a lot more fun flying each account separately and have billions in all my accounts.

It was new and fun try out but like a new paint job or playing in wings for many it wore off quickly. Fleet carriers will probably increase credits transfer between accounts but what is the exploit? The second account making credits will cost the first account losing credits. It balances out if a player wants to do the awful grind between the two but that is their choice having two accounts and playing with them.

The problem playing ED is fear not knowing how some play style works, thinking the worst, then post on the Forum about those fears. It happens all the time and some of the replies are pretty awful.

Regards

Yeah my PS4 T9 account sits at a station, collecting fuel. Hunt around though, I found a few offering 70-100 tonnes at a time, at most I have seen 1 or 2 carriers in system with me. Don't hook up to inara, it will post the location and kill the market.

Those exploits gonna exist until the day FDev stops to refuse the actual implementation of MMO gameplay, which means widely adapted palyer interaction such as trade, off from the single-play focused perspective. Things like duplication of bounties or trade dividents are always a seed for evolving exploits. The easiest way is also the desired one in this case but I have no hope FDev changes here. Dev-community interaction is at an all-time low with no tendency to change this trend.

How so? All I would do is invite the alt accounts to the wing mission, I pick up the 1000 or so tons of progen cells, drop them off for 20 million, share the funds with the alts via the carrier.

Am going to test this, I have 62 million in pro gen source missions, I should be able to triple that with my alts, unless I am missing something?

The station I'm at was on Inara (reason I went in the first place) but for the last 2 days it hasn't shown up on there, which makes it a bit bizarre.
I was intending to find a better spot, as there must be at least one.
Makes one think about getting a pile of laptops put them all in a row with a pile of accounts and... Well you know where to go from there.

I'm seriously thinking of writing a script for my alt that forwards comms sent to her on to a chat bot, and then forwards the bot's responses back through ED's comm system to me. That would go a long way to making her feel like a real person (in the context of the game, of course) rather than just an animated manikin. Also, if her journal records details of discoveries I make when she is part of my crew, I could have her "point things out" like biological signal sources, etc. If not, then I'll run that on my main computer through voice synthesis and just pretend it came from her :D

OK, but you have to fly all the ships in your me wing. That takes time and time is credits. good luck.

Am not going to lie, when filling 20,000 Tonnes for my first carrier trip, I was flying a T9 on my PS4, and a T9 on my laptop simultaneously, whilst working from home during the lockdown. Combined with a few friends helping, we filled up quick.

What is the minimum delivery to register for a wing bonus, 1 tonne? Am pretty sure with a trade bonus, the alts don't need to do anything.

Besides, SCA/ADC does all the flying on the alts. SC times a re too quick for interdicts. Saying that, as a VR/HOTAS user, I was worried about flying my main T9 on a laptop. I did get interdicted when running a mission, it was laughable how easy it is to avoid with just the trackpad for flying the escape vector.

Yesterday I launched my Alt account for the first time in 2 years??. Plotted & landed it on my Carrier.
Still wondering what to do next to fill my Carrier....... interesting!

What about multicrew, how does that compare to wings when it comes to sharing profit?

Not sure mate, I only used multi crew for mentoring or exploring with friends. Up until a few months ago, I had played ED purely in VR. Now I'm spending more time on the PS4 and laptop. Have never tried messing around with alt accounts like this before
