Explorer Offering up UC data

Long time player looking to help out some of you BGS guys. I'm participating in a mapping expedition to get all the HIP stars in the game exported to EDSM. If you're interested, drop by this thread to have a look-see. As I have no need of the rep or influence in my home system, I thought, "Why not spread it around?" So if you're currently running some BGS stuff and Exploration Data would help your cause, pop in this thread, tell me where to drop it and I'll pick a few as the expedition carries on.

If this is completely unhelpful, feel free to mock me as I know absolutely nothing about the BGS.

Teach me. I don't understand what that means. Why would a system's BGS suffer because it has an engineer in it? And why does dumping UC data help?

Having an engineer base means lots of player traffic that isn't going to the system's stations. So the controlling faction gets the negative influence hit from all the various crimes being committed (everything from parking violations to ganking sprees), that isn't balanced out by players doing missions, turning in bounties, etc.

by tracking his groups effeorts and factoring in their actions - and assumign the missing chunk was you. exploration data is always rare if you work the BGS (your systems in mission range you'll have explored fast), and it is a fully separate "bucket" of influence gains.

Yup, as Goemon said, I track our systems on INARA every day on my Ipad with my morning coffee.
