Game Discussions Star Citizen Discussion Thread v12

Your fun fact is just evident fact. Yes, what I enjoy now is not SC yet, it's an alpha in development. SC will be the real SC only when in beta.
'the only thing you want' : absolutely false, try not to speak for me. I want a lot more (mmo, components, salvage...). But I'm a grown man and I can enjoy what I have now, even in it's unfinished state.
And it will never be a SC that was promised to us 7 years ago.

Now, "Absolutely false"? "Speaking for you"?! That was a direct quote!

You said it yourself. That means the current assortment of features satisfies you, and feature-wise this software doesn't need to change. Therefore you are content with not having SC.

"Every patch with more fun" is just this:

"I want a lot more (mmo, components, salvage...)"

I will re-phrase one man's saying: "What is one thing anyway?".
Eventually, years of observation show that all people who declare that CI-G product is a good stuff end up playing with words.

We all know Star Citizen is lacking and really far behind the curve. I think thats beyond question. One camp is simply bashing CIG for its shortcomings while the other camp justifies the delays and insufficiencies. This dance has been going on for years now and the tune coming out of the project hasnt changed at all. And because there hasnt really been any signs of change the "adjustments" have become more severe to the point where we can observe certain people drifting off into lala land as they try to squeeze their functional project view into a shrinking bubble of reality.

Theres a certain point at which this is going to go PLOP....we all wonder when its going to happen. 90 days tops....remember? :)

For various reasons, this came up again and is as relevant as ever.
:D
You polished too early

Part of the reason this image is in here this is from a game I worked on where we did like final art for all the ships before we had our combat model down. And all the stuff got thrown out. So if a game is really really visually polished but the mechanics are still really broken and prototype that also is an alarm bell because it suggests that the team is not putting all the effort where it should be and it also suggests that a lot of work is going to be redone.
