Pertaining to the law, they declared the product was delivered. Now they live ship sale to ship sale, and by milking a few investors. The game engine is still a "future hope" with major parts not even planned. The physics engine is a joke, it can become a meme that represents the whole situation. But look ! Shiny 3D assets !Unbelievable.
They obviously found a loophole in law that allows them to be in this never-ending state of sales without finished product.
Pertaining to the law, they declared the product was delivered.
The closest I can think of was the… 3.0? maybe? planning — they had made a huge splash at one of the cons about how it would be out before the end of the year, and then nothing. Some time in February the following year, they mentioned that they had had a sit-down in January to plan what would go into the 3.0 release. At the time, they were ridiculed for starting their planning six months after they had announced that it would be out in three months, but it certainly fits a very similar pattern.I find it strange that nobody seemed to take note of Ci¬G even mentioning a planning week, one that turned into a month of complete restructuring, massive removals of practically all major content from the proposed roadmap and the start of complete radio silence...not the first time ever in the history of it's development of course, but the first time they've ever publicly mentioned a beginning of year planning phase as an excuse for lack of content..
Here's the transcript, for reference. This is in the context of the targeting system:I noted in the latest Star Citizen Live offering that Todd Papy dropped a mention of CR dropping the odd 'note' to the dev leads...
Todd Papy: "..and I mean John can attest to it like, every single morning CR in our, our morning, every single morning CR is sending notes and saying hey guys how's this you know let's look at it so on and so forth. So like CR, this one has been very very near, near and dear to CR's heart you know to to get it right..."
Thanks mate...I was too lazy to supply the direct referenceHere's the transcript, for reference. This is in the context of the targeting system:

I noted in the latest Star Citizen Live offering that Todd Papy dropped a mention of CR dropping the odd 'note' to the dev leads about how the development was going. Jared joked about CR referring to some dev manager in some department or other to fend it off...but CR dropping notes rather than micromanaging every minutae of his project?
If anyone had any doubts that the beginning of year 'planning week' involved some major detriment toward the future development of both Sqn42 and the PU, it doesn't take much reading between the lines to figure it out. I find it strange that nobody seemed to take note of Ci¬G even mentioning a planning week, one that turned into a month of complete restructuring, massive removals of practically all major content from the proposed roadmap and the start of complete radio silence...not the first time ever in the history of it's development of course, but the first time they've ever publicly mentioned a beginning of year planning phase as an excuse for lack of content..
This project is being run by the marketing and PR departments...sadly, it reminds me of the PR whitewash after the war in Iraq. They gave the army a budget of £20,000 to build a school for Iraqi children...unfortunately, most of the children the school was being built for were dead or dying of cholera in the streets and their parents were so poor and devastated by the war they were breaking into the site and stealing the copper pipes and electrical wiring to barter for food on the black market...something that the government focus groups from the safety of their westernised hotel rooms failed to notice.
I noted in the latest Star Citizen Live offering that Todd Papy dropped a mention of CR dropping the odd 'note' to the dev leads about how the development was going.
Not if they switch over the hexadecimal in the near futureAt this rate they're going to run out of letters before it hits the PU proper... 3.10.0aa anyone?
As some here should say, the show must go on to keep the whales entertained.
Everything’s late and the fan base is on fire.

The next ship sale will probably fix this though.
NOTES
Following a rehearsal (or an early performance in a run) the director will give notes to the cast and crew about where to make changes, improvements, cuts etc.
but he scratchs is ship during the take off and break a wing.
It would've made more practical sense if this worked in the cosmetic way Chesko's Frostfall/Campfire mod works in Skyrim. The cosmetic look of your character changes dynamically as you equip/unequip gear/weapons/food and other items from your virtual inventory. So if your character was holding a lantern, then used a hot key to unequip it to storage in their virtual inventory. You'd physically see it appear on whatever inventory slot on your belt you designated for it (right hip, front right side etc). Same for a utility tool/weapon like a pick axe that had a designated spot cosmetically attached to your back pack. Dropping either of these items caused them to cosmetically vanish from your PC's equipped appearance. No need for complex, unnecessary coding like literally animating putting junk into an ammo locker. Then being forced to do an entirely unnecessary walk simulator to stow said container on your ship/vehicle etc. This feature is going to be fun to implement in a TOW zone. Such a complete waste of dev coding time and labor hours. In other words, it's a classical case of SC doing the exact same thing as everyone else and trying to glam it up by applying an existing term in an inaccurate way.
School girls also like to pass around notes. This made me laugh. In prison a lot of the felons converse via notes, mafia bosses in hiding used to converse via notes and here's Chris Roberts, not seen since the beginning of the year, conversing via notes.... no doubt shacked up in his mansion just like Ghislaine Maxwell, before she got apprehended![]()
