Are there really no left handed throttls, what shall I do

Been doing a lot of reading around this and the more I do the more confused I am. I read somewhere the SAITEK x52 throttle can be used but the Thrustmaster T.16000m throttle is not. But this seems untrue. You would have thought with almost a billion left-handed people in the world there would be a marked for it. Whats my best option (please dont say become right-handed).

Maybe I just get an left handed joystick and use the keyboard for throttle but not relly what I want to do. Or do I use 2 joysticks, how well do joysticks work as throttles.

I have always used custom built throttles, or modified existing throttles. This is next on my list -Throttle

I had a guy in New York build me one for around the same price, that was 4 years ago

Full kit with sidestick here - https://shop.thrustmaster.com/en_gb/tca-quadrant-airbus-edition.html

No cheap options for us lefties, as far as I am aware.

Both those links seem to go to the same place.

Also, I did not say cheap, alough as I said elseware 2 joysticks or just one as keyboard may be good start.

I am left handed and I simply turn the throttle round. Rotate it 180 degrees. Have done this with saitek x56, and two rounds of Virpil throttles, currently on Virpil T50 CM2. See this old thread here:

Since posting it, I don't rotate the throttle round quite so much, but the principle is the same. I now use dual stick (HOSAS) which I find to be far superior to stick and throttle (HOTAS), but I still use the throttle for super-cruising.

So 2 sticks, does this work well. I'm thinking of just using on stick and keyboard for throttle. How well will this work?
I can't say myself as I use a HOTAS, buuut from what I hear it's fairly nice especially since you have access to all the other stick buttons. I'd just Google "elite dangerous HOSAS" and you'll get a lot of answers.

Two separate links, one from Amazon, the other for both the throttle and stick (direct from thrustmaster)

Lefty here- I use dual joysticks. but admittedly I use my right joystick in the same way most righties would. To be honest I like the dual joysticks for movement control. I use the left hat or keyboard for throttle.

Doesn't Virpil have a left-handed HOTAS variation of their mainline sticks? I'm not HOTAS expert as I don't have one yet, but from research, I noticed one of their site. However, they're supah expensive.

They do yes. I have a mongoos T50 LH and a Constellation Alpha LH. Both awesome, Alpha has twist. But yes kit is many many money tokens. But utterly worth it.

Using a Saitek Cyborg Evo joysticjk left handed for decades it took my brain about 2 hours to be totally happy flying ships in ED using a right handed HOTAS joystick. Currently using a Logitech X-56 grey I now have an advantage as my left hand controls all those switches, buttons, wheels and hats on the throttle naturally. That's a lot more work than a joystick. The same as muscle memory learning a combination of controls in ED.

It's is suprising what the human brain can do if one let's it. E.G. using right handed scissors forever left handed scissors to me is 'weird".

Yes, some people find it easy to adjust, don't think I am one of them. My coordination is really bad at the best of times.

Which question are you saying Yes to, that they can all be rotated or using a joystick for throttle works well?

Yes Virpil do left handed sticks. They also do an ambidextrous Delta stick. Didn’t like it much personally though, the above mentioned Mongoos and Alpha are by far much better sticks imho.
