Thanks. I have up to £1500. Resolution 1440 x 1600 per eye.powered usbs are bought seperate.
How much money? Cause yes; what resolution does this headset have? You need a big gpu. Decent cpu.. some memory like 16gb minimum and a ssd..
Do you already own a PC?Someone on overclockers has suggested https://www.overclockers.co.uk/ocuk-gaming-falcon-gaming-pc-amd-ryzen-7-3700x-fs-1ag-og.html Does this make sense for my requirements to run ED on an Oculus Quest?
No. I already have the quest and it links to the pc so one can play pc games. It is also a standalone headset. Best of both worlds. I am after a PC built by, for example, Overclockers.Isn't the Oculus Quest designed specifically for people who do NOT want to be tied to a PC? Perhaps you should have went with the Rift S instead...
It seems that with the Link cable and software on the PC the Quest is actually receiving a low-latency video of VR experiences being rendered by your computer.Isn't the Oculus Quest designed specifically for people who do NOT want to be tied to a PC? 2000 reasonable?I want to play Elite Dangerous on an Oculus Quest at max settings. Needs to have a powered USB C to run the Quest. I have a reasonable budget.
I went with an AMD 3800X CPU in my build and if had it been available at the time I would have used a 3800XT instead.Budgets your biggest concern.
Anything higher than the "superb" level here (about a grand GBP) will suit but that is for the lot.

Other sites are available ofc but this one has never let me down, all components work together after building and although I use pcpartpicker to find the best deals, it's a good guide.
RTX 2060 & R5 3600X is the base.

I tend to do PC builds based around my monitor capability to graphic card to CPU. In my case I have a 3440x1440 resolution monitor which I wish to drive at that resolution so it is matched with a Nvida 1080ti graphics card (at the time this was the best card available).
