I suppose one of the problems with being a mind rending multi-dimensional cosmic horror whose kilometre-thick tendrils are the harbinger of the End Times is that when viewed from a distance, they tend to look a little bit like cute fluffy fluff? One really needs to view this in VR to appreciate the true scale:
