What would be worse for Frontier is if they don't get any reaction at all.

Apparently the first dev diary is scheduled for next week, so it should be out before Gamescon.
I hope there will be some beautiful discoveries.
Sounds about right, the dev diary I guess isn't something they would use at Gamescom, so maybe we get that next week and then a gameplay trailer for Gamescom?
(I know, I know, I should just expect nothing and be pleasantly surprised

Patience is gonna be hard to come by, but everyone needs it right now, and love n respect for those fighting against the 'vairus'.
I'm one of those who can't just stay at home, I've gotta go to work to help others, and Fdev seem to realise that there are lots of valued customers of Elite who are at home, needing something to do ( ie; play Elite! ).
But remember, Fdev will need to be careful at their studios, or at home, and there will also be challenges and difficulties/problems involved in how they do their work, on updates and fixes and just dev-ing in general! We gotta give Fdev some support guys

I've been a member at AVSIM for literally 18 years. It's had overhauls a few times but the community there is decent. In general the flight sim community is pretty good. A bit opinionated at times but nothing like the Frontier forums here.

So before August 23. It better have new screenshots. We need monthly unveils to build up hype for Odyssey.
I joined the ED forum back when it was announced for PS4, but we had to wait months for the actual release. It gave me a chance to learn all about the game before playing it, and it helped pass the time. Normally I don't join gaming forums, in fact ED is the only one. It's been something akin to a "Facebook" for my CMDR as it has been a learning tool, which is not anything I need in other games that are solo experiences. My interest in a community like AVSIM would be more about shared community content (downloadable planes, scenery, etc) than it would be about gabbing, posting opinions of the game, etc. The only forum I could see replacing ED in this regards is if I were to become a dedicated Dual Universe / Starbase player. It's the "shared narrative" of ED (and DU and Starbase) that makes a forum like this unique IMO.
Regardless of my use of other forums, "gabbing" about ED will definitely take a back-burner when MSFS is released!

What has shocked me is the complete disregard Frontier have for their player base. They must read the forum and if they do then they must have worked out there is stll a problem. Instead they have gone on radio silence again unless it is about there update Odyssey.
Well here is some information for you Frontier i will no longer be buying your update as i no longer trust you to produce a non bugged product as seen by your inept updates over the last months. I have Microsoft flight sim on pre order and when it arrives you will be have driven another player away from the game. Can i point out that you are good at one thing and thats excreating on your player base.
I hope in future updates, there isn't any more exclusive . To break this down, all the Pigeons who do not press the button on the command don't get any reward in their tray.
Please update the game, Fdev, to not have any more psychological manipulation, as this is considered as psychological abuse. One could even deem it institutional abuse. Just make sure that there aren't any anti-consumer d**k moves in future, because the creation of the Arx currency, (as per SOP- financial distancing tactic), caused me to stop giving you as much money as I used to.
That is constructive, because there's a lot to learn from these comments. I'm someone who is happy to support their dev, who is happy to respect their customer.
EDIT: I meant to add also, that copying the other AAA shady scumbags is not a good move either. Instilling a fear of missing out (FOMO) into your playerbase just leaves nasty taste in their mouth and a reluctance to like you... or give you any money!

I am not grossly overestimating my importance at all. all i am is a paying customer that has played the game for years and enjoyed that time. However Frontier have now borked there game and as far as i can see are now no longer communicating with there player base. i find that shocking and as they dont seem to care any more i no longer care playing or supporting the game. It was there choice to do what they have done. Roll on the 18 August 2020
