Community Event / Creation Too many stickies?

This subforum seems undervisited at the moment, and I can't help but think it might be influenced by all the sticky threads making it hard to navigate. As much as I like our Tales from the Frontier thread being stickied I do think with the low activity of the book threads they should lose their special status. The IRC Channel, Podcast and Signatures threads are all worthy of stickiness, but the subforum would be a tad cleaner if everything else were left to the wild.

unless for clarity another sub forum were to be added for 'officially sanctioned works,' any new books could be moved there once FD get the cheque.

set permissions so that only those in the writers forum can start threads and you get an uncluttered FC and a dedicated public section for news and updates, ensuring that your threads don't get buried under new posts.

Too many 'stickies' is a problem for any forum!

but it doesn't mean we need be stuck with them ;)

EDit:
as an added bonus it could also be used in the same way as the DDF/PBF - authors of the official works could pose questions and post polls, not something everyone would choose to do but a useful option to have

Agreed, please create a special forum - better separation between fan and authorised works can only be a good thing

Well we're all fans, so I don't see a problem with keeping them joint ;) But what started as a fiction-focused forum has fluffed into fondly-founded fandoms of many forms.

it's for that reason i suggested a sub forum to this one, it gives the writers who pledged for the book status while still defining them as a subset of 'fans,'

lets face it, if they weren't fans they wouldn't be writing for the game to begin with ;)

Nice one Ashley :)

Beautiful! One request: add the author names in the links thread (with the lead person for multi-author works). Many people know the works purely by their authors.
