My guess is that whilst ship interiors were always on the long term plan, they have boxed themselves into a corner with the design, and now it's an absolute pig to implement.I wonder if the problem with ship interiors is in fact the opposite - that our ships dont have much insides - there isnt much space high enough to walk around in even on an anaconda.
Two possible explanations I can think of 1) FDev`s software development approach is haphazard and doesn't follow the traditional software development lifecycle, or 2) The decisions have already been made, and they are being coy. This has me concerned as well. You'd think they would have more stuff ready and locked in with the amount of development time they say they put into Odyssey.
I totally get that. The response on the forums to not getting what people were led to believe is completely understandable, and we all know that FDev is often found wanting when it comes to their messaging. But we are where we are. Much like accepting the foibles of a loved one, if you really love the game, then it's probably better to accept the flaws and focus on whats good.Yes and that's a BIG change... As I already said somewhere else: "It's a giant leap" in the wrong direction.
If it was a binding contract I would file a sue case.
I'm genuine disappointed instead and I have all rights to complain because of that evidence.
Frontier really needs to reevaluate not being able to walk around on ships with the initial Odyssey release as this was why everyone looked forward to space legs in the first place in addition to walking around on planets.
As regards some complaints on not being able to walk in ship - unless there is some gameplay associated with it I'm not bothered.
It's a product that has had, for me, most of it's functionality taken away, with no guarantee that it will be reinstated. If I don't install the update, will I get a refund on my LTE pass?I totally get that. I think you already know the answer to that. I`d be upset as well if I`d purchased an LTE pass. As far as I can tell, It was a con. It's a product that has had, for me, most of it's functionality taken away, with no guarantee that it will be reinstated. I`m suggesting that if you still want to stick with the game, then focusing on the bad stuff isn't going to help your enjoyment. And lets be fair, Fdev are not going to change their stripes. Also, what is this "foibles of a loved one nonsense". Are you really comparing a video game to family?
This is your description of a company that we should buy games from, as long as we only focus on the good stuff? They sound like the worst company ever.I think you already know the answer to that. I`d be upset as well if I`d purchased an LTE pass. As far as I can tell, It was a con.

The reports of no next gen version is extremely troubling. Shows a lack of commitment to the platform. My hype is pretty low for this right now and I went from a definite buy to a pass just that quick.
Do not assume anything with this company. But it does mean that it can be played on the PS5, right? It just won’t support every bells and whistles that the PS5 has to offer from day 1.
Neither am I. It would be nice to walk around for a little while, but if it's just an empty shell then that's going to get tired pretty quickly. Perhaps if they integrated some game design around loadouts for spacelegs it would be okay, but then we`d all be screaming that ships don't have loadouts but commanders do...

Naah, I really believe I will skip that one.then it's probably better to accept the flaws and focus on whats good.
YOU, not we.I mean we only need legs in ED for spaceships and space stations interactions.
If we want to play FPS on alien worlds we already have tonnes fo wonderful games to do so...
...
YOU, not we.
Or they can just tell us. It's not like they don't have dev kits.PS5 Backwards compatibility isn't as robust as the Xbox side, so there's a small chance that Fdev may have to patch the game to get it to run on PS5. We won't know if that's the case until the PS5 launches and people can test.
Tell you! That can't do that, there's months of fruitful (or fruitless) teasing to be done yet.Or they can just tell us.
No, you've no idea how many I think.We. I agree with him. There are more of us then you think.
And that is kind of the point - matty wasn't speaking for me when he said "we". I'm not claiming to speak for you. There are more of us then you think.
