🐨 Planet Zoo: Update 1.3 and Australia Pack out now! 🐨

Just back from holidays so kinda late to the party but I must say: Thank you so much Frontier for this massive update and for probably the best DLC so far (in my personal opinion). All 5 animals look extremely detailed and, even though I would have preferred Tasmanian devil over dingo, I'd say overall it's a good selection.
So happy to see joeys can get in their mums' pouches. New rocks look amazing too and it is greatly appreciated that you included more new foliage in this DLC (please keep this trend for upcoming DLCs, can't get enough foliage!). Very excited for the colour variations, some animals like llamas and wolves really needed those. Future variations for peafowls and flamingoes would be awesome too (great to know you're working at least on the latter).

Only if some bits of info were dropped a bit more often... but anyways, I can't wait to check everything out!

I'm amazed that after so many patches we still have the annoying bug that your middle mouse button bugs out, the one you use to rotate. Een the rotate keyboard buttons have this problem, why was this never fixed I wonder. There have been so many discussions about it and Support Tickets still no Fix ?

I really like this DLC - all the new pieces and animals look great and I love the vending machines that came with the update.
However I did encounter an issue of some kind that a bunch of guests were getting stuck in the entrance and just turning around in circles, never actually getting through the turnstiles. Those that did get through, were also getting stuck trying to leave my entrance "building", where two sections of path met each other. Again, they were just standing there and spinning in circles in the doorway of the building. I wonder if this has something to do with the new DLC path pieces, as I've never seen this before in any of my other zoos. Anyone else seen this?

Great update, and dlc, thank you!...just a quick question...

Placing lights in a room during the daytime, with the exception of the spotlight, doesn't light up the room very well even if it's completely enclosed.

Is it possible to prevent sunlight from reaching the interiors of buildings so we can make it truly dark, and only use lighting pieces to illuminate a room/building? Is there any way to do this other than sinking or immersing the building into terrain far enough away from sunlight?

I haven't tried it myself yet (planning on building a nocturnal house, though), but you don't have to use archways or doorways to allow people inside a building; you can use a solid piece of wall and attach a door to it if you want, which, game physics allowing, should block out the sunlight. As long as the path crosses the building, guests will walk along it and right through any objects in their path. It isn't especially realistic but it might help solve your problem.

Australia Benches also have an Issue, you cant place them right next to each other to have a seamless continuing row even if it loosk to be designed to do just that. Hope this gets an update too.

So I just ignored my real life for the evening in order to check out the update and the DLC - thank you so much, there is so much to discover, and again, so many small changes that improve the gaming experience! I really appreciate those quality of life things, like selecting the whole barrier of an enclosure with one click or the little indicator for the plant sizes. Many good impressions :)

The bug with the workzones is a bit annoying, but well - restarting the game several times made me see the different animations for the loading screen/the different animals, so it was worth it ;)

I was well into my first hour when I realized I hadn't even looked at the vending machines - they seem to be super useful. And the colour variations, as far as I could see, really add an extra depth of realism. I'm really happy about the major improvements that came with this update, I can't even list everything.

Also, good first impression of the DLC. The Koala and Kangaroo are super cute and make an awesome addition to the zoos. Koalas really climb a lot, and they also SWIM, which looks super cute. I also like the Kangaroo animations. And... both animals... when they give birth. The way you incorporated their pouches is just adorable. The Dingo is fun, but I'm not too into them, I admit. The Cassowary is a positive surprise, they look cool and I will refer to them as dinosaurs from now on - I like them!

What I love are those building pieces - modern but organic, the come in very handy. And I find them even more versatile than the ones from South America, at least many of them. I also really like the premade buildings with the new theme. So I have basically just spent the evening looking at everything, I hope I can play and explore a lot more within the next days.

Guests sure get stuck a lot now even on big enough paths with no one or no thing in the way they get stuck and dont know what to do. What is going on in this game now. @Chante Goodman Im going to send my savegame so the team can see what is going on with guests getting stuck now for no reason at all.

Guests are also stuck on a normal path for no reason, see screenshot and group circled red is stuck for no reason.

The breath noticeable trough the nose, sounds a bit like if someone has a cold, and they also grunt once a while.
But it's not very loud, you have to turn up the volume a bit and focus ;-)
Can't wait to find out what exactly you mean with grunting but I really hope the Breeding Call and Fight Sound is also in the Game.
I do really love Koala Sounds and would love to hear these in the Game 🐨

The rainbow tree doesn't appear in the search results when you do a filter search for just the Australian pack stuff, by the way. (When you filter it for "Content pack: Australia pack")
