Should planet zoo have more colour for the water ???

In zoo tycoon 2 , different biomes got different colour

In real life , I think even the habitats for different animal different colour..

Some is more marshly green in colour like swamp or what

I don't understand why they have murky water effects, but no suitable water-type for this.....even the old PlanCo has 4 different water types, inlcuding a murky one.

It would be great, many zoos provide their animals water in easily cleanable pools, so it would be great to have less dirty like water in case you want to build more unnatural water source.

It's already in the game, the possibility to adjust the cleanliness.

Problem is that the water has to be 'cleaned', otherwise the animals' happiness will be effected. And the result is a crystal clear water (it's however effected by the depth of the 'hole' underneath), regardless of the individual setting.

The only thing Frontier would have to do is that the individual visual cleanliness is 'saved' regardless of the need of a water treatment. This thing has been discussed several times before here on the forums.

Yes that's the point, it's about cleanliness and not water type or colour.
And in combination with the extremely restrictive plant coverage you have very limited options to make nice swamp ...this is very hard for frogs.....ribbit

Yes! I wanted to make a post about this, too<3 Water can add so much to the mood/theme you want to recreate!
A hue-slider would be awesome, but I don't know how possible that is, haha. Putting items of different colors on the bottom helps ish, but doesn't look as realistic and nice, maybe?

I would really like Water that is more transparent (maybe we'll get it if a Marine DLC gets released someday. At least I've never seen a big Aquarium with murky Water). A Water Option that is slightly green because of Algae would also be great.

They are for the Water on the tropical South America Map that was introduced with the South America Map. The Water there looks different

If we ever get marine dlc (or at least semi-aquatics), they could potentionally add more clear aquarium water type, since sea lion and penguin enclosures have mostly easily cleaned pool instead of natural water source.

I agree I've been asking for "blue" water for a while. The new wading pool enrichment item they added with 1.3 is the ideal color I think a lot of people would like to see. As of right now its not a huge issue, but once we get penguins it will. The murky off grey color water works for crocodiles/hippos/etc but polar bears, penguins, and sea lions all have that bright neon blue color.

If their water appears to have a blue color in a zoo, their pool is artifically made with colored concrete. The water itself is clear. You can already do the same in PZ. It’s not the color of the water, it’s whatever color the floor and sides have that ”tint” the water.

I made a large fountain with ”blue” water in the past with a blue basin and voilà - the water looked perfectly blue. We have a slider in the water menu where you can choose anything between clear and absolutely murky.

It looks also blue if you make it very deep. But I think no one uses such deep Water in a Enclosure in the Game. Just wanted to mention that it is also possible like that.
But we really need a Option that also let's the Water look completely clear under the Surface

I love that gorgeous tropical bright blue-green color<3 I hope we will see it in the future! Fingers crossed ^w^
