It also makes you feel good when you're able to give some helpful advice. ED isn't the easiest game to get a grip on for a newcomer.
I once asked someone why they had a Star Citizen thread on this forum and they said because this forum is more tolerable than the official SC forums. Apparently anything bad written about the game just gets removed / people get banned etc. Just goes to show there are much worse forums out there than this one
And much worse developers too...

I like the lack of adverts & relative anonymity of the forum accounts.
I'm interested to read the opinions & thoughts of others, and to share my own about the game. I'm not interested in what others think of my opinions, or those of others but it's fairly rare that interferes with the information I am looking for.
I generally don't look for advice or provide it, although I may share how I solved a particular challenge. Half the fun of the game is figuring stuff out for me
