Sometimes there are decals. You can also make a lot of credits if you have the right ship. I have a T7 configured as a bus / train, which I fill to the brim with very rich passengers eager to get out of Dodge. If the rescue ship is close by, you can turn a nice profit in very quick order. I personally should be able to pay off all my carrier bills that have accrued since shelving the game, and then some!
One of the most atmospheric experiences in ED I've experienced. I have been to Thargoid and Guardian bases, poked around abandoned settlements and sat & watched sun rise on a distant rock somewhere, but nothing comes close to flying into a burning station; I have phyiscally flinched as parts of superstructure have struck my ship. After experiencing out of curiosity in my Asp, I immediately reconfigured my mothballed T7 as an evacuation vessel.

Yup. I had no intention of squeezing some Elite into my day today, but what can I do? There's burning stations to visit.

Final, well, would you believe the Empire is now the strongest of the three powers?
At the moment that decline is one thing that both Fed and Imp suffer with. I'm just glad that we get GalNet back to hopefully influence some of those independent pilots to get involved with one power or another.

Very good! I'll set course for home (over 6000 LY to travel) and hopefully get to experience my first burning station (in VR) sometime this weekend.
Sort of me too.... My 21st century puppeteer's other account (in fact his Primary account) IS about 20% of the way to Colonia on his first visit there, and THAT account could do with the Imperial Rank.
I'm his secondary account, am in the bubble, and already have "Duke", but I suppose he'll send me to help out with the evacuations this evening (whilst his other commander sunbathes on a moon somewhere - it's alright for some)...
