Lore-wise, my dear Hadrian, you would be their second priority target after Aisling. Aisling is the top priority because she is high profile without being the actual Emperor and was previously seen as the one to inherit the throne. You would be second due to your less high profile stature, but also because of your traditionalist views on the Empire and views on how the hereditary throne should have gone to you.
Arissa would be third because she was technically approved (voted in) by the Senate. At least, that's my take on it.
