Will PC's console vers. additions make it over to the pc version?

Has Frontier confirmed if the pc version of Planet Coaster will also get the fully voiced tutorial/ proper controller support?

Do the cutscenes/ characters and narration continue through the campaign as well? I don't see why the pc version shouldn't be updated as it's the same game - same engine. According to Youtuber Rudi Rennkamel, Planet Coaster on consoles seems to have more modern anti-aliasing, giving it a cleaner look than its pc counterpart. Will we see more updates/optimisation for our version as well?

Nope. Frontier has been very tight lipped on the future of the PC version (if there even is one). I'm sure you'll be finding out more about the console version within the next month though, not long till launch now.

The PC version did get an optimisation update a few months back based on work being done for the console edition. So I don't know whether that is all the PC version will get?

Judging from responses to questions about this in Facebook posts, it looks like no work done to the console version (whether that's optimizations of the build of the game, content or control schemes) is making its way over to the PC version. Guess the console version is its own thing.

This is a real shame as presently the PC version of Planet Coaster has sold 2 million units.
The PS4 version: 0 units
The Xbox One version: 0 units
The PS5 version: 0 units
The Xbox Series X/S: 0 units.

Update 1.13.2 is now available for Planet Coaster.

  • Fixed crash for when repeatedly deleting Track pieces
  • Fixed crash for when deleting an advert in a Park which contains a large number of adverts

Scenario Editor Fixes
  • Fixed crash when selecting a research preset
  • Fixed crash when selecting a ride research option from the middle of a chain and moving it to unresearchable

Well she is right, there was a perfomance update.

It might have helped a little ....but still crashes all the time...and I'm not the only one with this problem.

Performance updates are definitely welcome and I hope they continue.

My post also concerned the content the console version is getting that we still have no word on getting in the pc version. As well as the features I listed above, we now know there's a new coaster. Why the silence from Frontier? Are they hoping we'll just buy the console version?

I paid more than the launch price, played through the alpha stage and enjoyed being apart of the community as we offered feedback and filled out issue tracker reports. When asked about if we'll get anything from this new version, all I've seen community managers address is that Steam allows you to create button mapping for controllers.

Scratch that, I just saw a response to new content making its way over to the pc version...
