I’ve passed my 40’s, I grew up with games like elite and elite2 on the amiga. Loved them. Then The Wing commander series came, damn those where good. Bought a new Mac when 3 and 4 came out, they needed L2 cache to play (got a performa 6400 then) so in a way, these games pushed me to upgrade my hardware. Anyway, years came and there was a drought. Early 2000’s I discovered Vendetta Online (it’s still active and worth a look at btw, twitch space combat, trading all that sh** on one persistent server on multiple platforms, those guys deserve credit) and played that for a few years as it was my elite replacement at the time. Then life caught up and playing time became less and less.
Now SC came along and damn, that looks good. That’s something I always imagined to be a f*ing cool game to play. Thing is it’s realy complicating to make something like that. In the meanwhile, If you want to play something, there are plenty of choices out there, you can keep yourself busy if you want to, but for SC, I really honestly don’t care how long it takes, I’m enjoying it now and I’m gonna enjoy it even a lot more when it’s finished.
Got my 350 in, f it, let them work on it and in the meanwhile, if I want to play something else, I play something else.
