Ok, I feel all teenagerish now..

Alright, I know it's stupid, but I just completed my first error free, point A - B mission. Very happy pilot!!
Thanks to VA and some helpful hints on landing from all of you...

And yes, I saw the typo in the subject.

Grats CMDR, hopefully the first of many successful trips.

It's great there is gaming related tools out there to help gamers enjoy their hobby, even in the face of RL obstacles.

Good stuff!

Congratulation and all the best for your future adventures.
Voice Attack is a great little tool and can help you do all the nitty gritty things

Keep it going and welcome to the community.

I only have one usable hand (and it's my off-hand) due to a stroke, VA makes it playable

This is really good to see that your having success with this. VA is a really great program best 5 dolla I have spent in ages!

Keep truckin foxpur :D

Well done. I don't use it myself as I have a joystick with lots of buttons and ten working fingers, but I can see the value in it and I'm really glad it's helped you overcome your difficulty so you can enjoy the game with the rest of us.

See you out there Commander. :)

There's one other input that may benefit you. Pedals.
You can bind thrust, yaw and a few other things, which essentially frees up controls from your joystick.

I really want some...but I have no idea If I'll like them.

Well done,

I use Voice Attack myself and "A.S.T.R.A" a voice pack I think you might be interested in, if you haven't found it already, here are some some links

I have 3 sound packs, including ASTRA :)
I have been coding VA to help me on my normal desktop too

I have those pedals and they are excellent; makes landing a breeze with the yaw.
I haven't found a use for the toe brakes in ED yet (maybe full braking ) but they work extremely well in flight sims.

Congratulations!

I never thought about how VA could help in that respect. My girlfriend is a speech therapist and works with people who have suffered from stroke. She is always pushing technology to help people get a fuller quality of life and for some that means being able to play games :)

I'll definitely share this with her. Not that she'll be playing ED :p
