Are you interested in Crossplay?

I need crossplay so bad. even if it was just destiny style ( same account over multiple devices.) I played on Xbox from the get-go but don't use Xbox nowadays. but starting from scratch on PC. even after paying for it, is an . I don't want to buy my skins and mods again. I don't want to lose all my discoveries. but the one-time transfer just gives me the monetary value of my old items.

I play destiny with my wife and its hardly the game it used to be. but at least I can play on any device and be playing the same characters with the same items.

if Elite had this I would play more and spend more.

I know this is about cross play but I would HAPPILY take cross-save. Just have my Frontier account manage all the save data and the platform just grabs it from there. I have friends on Xbox and friends on PC super interested in getting into the game when Odyssey comes out. I own the game on PC and Xbox but I mostly play on Xbox due to friends and groups. I would love to be able to swap between my PC and Xbox while playing.

Cross save seems like the simplest solution and something FDev could get into place soon.

Mainly this topic is turned into a PvP Vs PvE discussion, a fan boy point scoring exercise, or is ignored in the console sub forums.

The goal of this topic is simple: gauge how many players are interested in Crossplay being added as a feature.

Crossplay must be obstructed at every path because the lack of crossplay is a key argumentative point of equivocation used by naysayers to shout down the idea of Open-Only Powerplay. If every platform could play together, then the potential for an exciting and functional Open experience is raised, and we cant have that.

Not at all - simply because there was no Open only content before the other two platforms were added to share the single pan-modal galaxy state which resulted in it being a pan-platform galaxy state as well - so Crossplay wouldn't strengthen any case made for Open only Powerplay. The change, if Crossplay were implemented, would be that players on the three platforms could instance together in either of the two multi-player game modes.

Powerplay had its pan-modal implementation as part of the base game some time before the XBox One version of the game was released - which means that all players bought access to it, regardless of game mode preference.

What making Powerplay Open only would do is to remove it completely as a game feature for those console players who cannot play in the multi-player game modes (due to not having premium platform access). The game requirements on console do not require premium platform access unless the player wishes to be able to play in the multi-player game modes.

At the risk of sounding dismissive, I don’t care. Really. I can find people when I want to and avoid them when I don’t.

If it would make some other players happy, then yay for crossplay. If it would divert FD resources from developing lore and narrative, then boo for crossplay.

Wow. Been a while since i felt so determinedly neutral.

I don't mind crossplay because the damage to the game and its UI due to matching console hardware and their controllers has already been done (Like for most other games these days anyways...) so might as well play together, right?

You can play with a controller on PC...and use a mouse and keyboard on consoles.
In any case, VR users form a higher set of UI ergonomic requirements than controller users.

None of these areas are explicitly relevant to the implementation of Cross Play.
