Why no Preisthoric Animals

This has been talked about a lot and there is a relatively recent thread discussing this.
I have a feeling this game is going to be more steeped in realism than other zoo games, as far as animal offerings. We may not even get fully marine animals, I'm thinking, since those are more aquariums not zoos. But we'll see about those. I would definitely not expect we'll get prehistoric animals.
I can't see any reason why we would ever get extinct animals. First of all, it makes no sense for Frontier to add dinosaurs when they've already got a dinosaur game that's still relatively new. They'd be cannibalizing their own sales for JWE, so for that alone I think it's safe to rule out dinosaurs. As far as anything else goes, PZ is a game that Frontier has repeatedly stressed is focused on realism and actual wildlife conservation. There are quite literally thousands of animals to pick from that are actually still alive, I have no interest whatsoever to see dodos or mammoths running around PZ. Just wait for Prehistoric Kingdom if you want another dino zoo sim game. If Frontier ever makes modding officially supported in a few years, and people make dinosaur mods, that's totally fine. But I would hate to see an actual paid dlc for them.

PK is looking pretty exciting for a prehistoric game.
And i highly doubt that the license-owner would allow Frontier to make a competing game as well.
Don't expect it to happen when it comes to dinos .
In the topic "what animals you don't want" exctinct animals rank really high - also a reason why I think this won't happen.
Have it some time on my wishlist but could easily take 5 years when they release the game. I was told that they started working on this game in 2013 or 2015?
It looks great and imo a lot of people who request this - will love that game !
