Talk about stacking the deck....

While on paper, the new CGs appear to give the option of removing an Engineer, and the massive impact that would have on the Engineering stage, Fdev have decided only one side shall get a super special rare piece of kit you can't get any other way, while the other is just expecting you to be loyal. So, of course everyone will flock to the Engineer's faction's side.....

So much for actual choice.....

And before anyone mentions that the Empire will lose a single system, in the grand scheme of things, does that really matter? Happens all the time in regular BGS, and barely anyone bats an eye.

From a narrative POV, yes. Fdev can talk about 'player choice' all they like, but it's clear they want the narrative to go a certain way. Why else stack the deck?
Maybe the time for stalemate between the superpowers is coming to an end, and in the coming months there will be movement to real war between them? Reading between the lines of the trial and assasination it does appear that both superpowers are about to be put into turmoil - how refreshing it would be to watch the bubble burn in a superpower war, and if the Devs are smiling on us, the Thargoids will return right in the middle of the furball

I can hear the explosions already!

It will be a true test of loyalty & strength...

Replace "mouse" with Fed or Imp... You get the rest... :devilish:

It would be hilarious, though, if the Federal Lemming Train gets one(!) "unique" (yet utterly useless/pointless) missile launcher for the CG, but those loyal to the Empire get a unique and awesome awesome Paint Job for all Imperial Ships as a "hidden loyality reward" :p

I don't have my Krait II shot to hand - but you probably get the gist... ;)

I own two Cutters, both with their own paintjob. With the coming discount, I want to buy a third one, which in turn will also need his own paintjob. So it's the perfect opportunity ;)

I also notice a certain...theme...to your ships. A somewhat rusty and worn down look. Not to say "plebeian". Let me introduce you to some proper ship looks. Ships with grandeur and dignity. Ships that really represent the glory of the Empire and that carry the necessary gravitas for a true, Imperial King.

Indeed they are the height of splendour... Maintained, no doubt by 'volunteers' - keeping those splendid appearances up must require a great deal of manpower... ;)

Of course, in the colonies - where my home is - the empire has neither influence nor interest - so, naturally, a more 'practical' approach to valeting is expected :ROFLMAO:

Well, yes, of course. I've discovered that the tears of my...volunteer workforce are just splendid for cleaning the marble floors in my FC 🤷‍♂️

I like to look at the bottom card of the stack I'm putting on top to know where the next card is without knowing what the next card is. 🧙‍♂️
