I'm going to give up on looking at this, because you've just thrown my amateur investigations into complete confusion
The ship flying over the bar viewed from inside is apparently a mk3, but I now see the one in the hangar ... not so much

If FD put a CMK 4 in the dev diaries, its ballsy but going to result in popped heads.
I haven't noticed any popped heads, but i didn't really look for them to be honest.
I imagine ships have had an external cosmetic tweak (since the outside is going to be microscoped minute 1) so a 3 might look a bit more chunky.

I honestly don't know if Rubbernuke doesn't know about he Cobra Mk IV and now thinks there will be new ships in Odyssey.

That's the Mk III, but later in the dev diary they show a Mk IV inside a hangar.
