I got some new Marvel UK Transformers from the post office depot after a recent week-long eBay spree. I think I have over 170 issues now. Though I have a few duplicates here.
General / Off-Topic Which Comics/Books Do You Read While Playing Elite?

I'm more of a 90s/00s comics guy (didn't really get into the stuff in its golden years, mainly because I never liked the superhero stories that Marvel and DC were doing and that was basically what I thought all comics were before I started looking into nuances), so my absolute favourites are the Sandman series by Neil Gaiman with its spinoffs and Usagi Yojimbo from Stan Sakai.

I've actually never read any Neil Gaiman but I did sign up to the Masterclass because I'd like to write something myself. I'm better at drawing than I am writing though. I should read Sandman.

Current reading Brent Weeks' Night Angel trilogy.
Comicwise, last ones i've read was the comic version of White Sand by Brandon Sanderson and Lucifer Volume 2, which as i understand is not a canonical follow on from Volume 1, which sits well with me, because i feel it doesn't capture the characters right and the story isn't great. Still need to check out Volume 3.

I'm not really a fantasy guy, and I've not heard of either of those authors, but it is kinda within the realm of sci-fi so I'm willing to open a tab and check them out.

I have plenty of backlog when it comes to comics and books because I buy more than I read. Though I'm on normal reduced hours next week so I think I'll check out this Starship Troopers bad boy. Probably switching between that and a Jill Chamberlain book because I need some writing inspiration.

Although definitely not a read-while-playing person (the HMD gets in the way), I do like my comics - currently going through all the 2000ADs that I missed (started reading in ‘80 and ended in ‘91) as I moved to just getting the Dredd collections, and I’ve also just picked up this:

Nice. I grew up reading 2000AD while I stayed with my dad at weekends in the 80's. I still have a stack of graphic novels in the cupboard.
