General / Off-Topic Commodore 64 resurrects ...

Apart from being a nostalgia toy...why? Not even a proper full sized keyboard. If you will have something this enormous on your desk there should be no reason why isn't there a numpad.

That's it. The whole purpose is the retro aesthetic without having to actually cut apart a real C64.

Boooo! Don't see the point, it's easier to get an emulator.

This is just a case for a standardish SFF PC, not a C64 re-release or intended to emulate the C64 in anything other than appearance. Of course you could run a C64 emulator, but that's not what it's for.

It's so you can simulate the doorstop qualities of the original? 😛

It's for nostalgic lovers.

Maybe they will also make an Atari ST and an Amiga 500 ?

A bit late to this thread, but... the logical successor to the Commodore 64 would be a modern PC with BASIC as it's DOS. I would call it: the C64k! ;) I've often tinkered with the idea of grabbing a Linux distro with only a shell and making it boot into an advanced BASIC. Sadly, I don't have enough time for this with all my other projects and all.

I'm looking forward to this:
