That sentence looks a bit off to me, and not just because you repeated its beginning. Are you saying that it took you a lot of work over literally years to pick these?

Ah, never mind, I just saw your comment under the video: "This one took over 100 hours of work over the last several years to curate and put together - as I'm sure I missed MANY of the best places in the bubble and galaxy I look forward to hearing your favorites for a version 2 - please do be specific and share the system for whatever you list. "

Yeah, I doubt this. Sure, maybe you have, but anyone could have looked at the GMP and/or various lists and come up with pretty much the same end result in a handful of hours, not hundreds. All of the stuff in your video has been curated by others too, and well, these are pretty much all popular destinations, not obscure gems that only a few know about. There's no shame or anything about saying that you used others' work to create your video: after all, said video has good production value, and stands well on its own. Not many people go to a bunch of locations over the galaxy to film there, either.

So hey, now that I clicked your video and generated a small amount of money for you, since you like storm clouds, could I ask you to confirm this issue related to them? :D (Had to make a new one because my earlier one expired.) I hear other storm clouds in the core have changed to non-stormy too, but I have no proof of those, unfortunately.

Edit: updated the quote from YT to include the full comment, so that everyone can see that it focused on systems as well.

Yeah, I doubt this.

And I could care less what you doubt, how long does it take you to produce video? To research, jump tens of thousands of light years, film over 1000 individual clips to choose between, pick the best ones, write the original script, edit that script, record all the narration, clean up the sound, create the story board, catalog all the video, lay it into Premiere, pick out the songs, work out all the edits, create all the titles, level all the music, write out all the details for the description, upload to Youtube multiple times to try to get the video quality as high as possible, re-edit for color/brightness/contrast, deal with SEO, post to Twitter, here, Reddit and Patreon. How many videos have you edited, how many communities of almost 60,000 have you built over years of consistent work.

So yeah, I doubt you have any idea what you're even remotely talking about, that's what I doubt. And people wonder why this place has the toxic reputation it does, that I don't doubt at all.

So yeah, I don't really care what you doubt as I know the facts and what it takes to put together a community and a video like this. If you don't like it please, by all means smash that dislike button but don't for a second call me or imply I'm lying about the times it takes to create something like this.

It sounded like it took hundreds of hours to come up with these systems. I can believe it took a long time to put together a high-quality (in terms of editing), 15-minute video.

Don't you think it's a little arrogant as a primarily combat-oriented pilot to tell us explorers what the best systems in the game are? I appreciate you sharing some of your favorite places in the galaxy, but I encourage you to look around this subforum at some of the wonderful things others have found in deep space. I get you were trying to keep it close to the bubble, but with 400 billion stars, it's hard to believe that all the best systems are within 100 light-years from Sol.

And I could care less what you doubt, how long does it take you to produce video?
Well, apparently you could care less, since that was quite a lengthy and hostile response. In any case, I thought you meant that you curated the systems yourself over several years, spending hundred of hours looking through various reports to find the ones which you thought were the best. If you read my post beyond the words that you quoted, you'll see that that's what I was talking about, choosing the targets. And I've updated my earlier post to include the full text of your quote, which focused on selecting systems too.

Now, if what you meant to write was that it took you hundreds of hours to make the whole video, then that's fine, and I don't doubt that.

So yeah, I doubt you have any idea what you're even remotely talking about, that's what I doubt. And people wonder why this place has the toxic reputation it does, that I don't doubt at all.
If you say so. As for accusing others of toxicity... Well, you could have just written something like "hi, thank you for viewing my video and the positive feedback, and about that part on my comment, you misunderstood what I wrote, it didn't take me literally hundreds of hours to pick the targets, it took me literally hundreds of hours to produce this whole video", and there we go, the issue could have been settled with just that.

Oh, and for the record, that one dislike that's currently on your video wasn't from me :D

Man, I should have known better than to have shared my work with this forum - maybe you don't realize that I have over 7000 hours in Elite and while I do enjoy combat more than exploration my alt has over 2000 hours and over 80% of that is all exploration. Arrogant, really? So what, I'm not allowed to enjoy exploration AND combat? Ugh.

Thanks for again reminding me why I incredibly rarely get toxic crap like this on my videos but almost always encounter when I'm here. And people think "griefers" are a-holes, thanks for dispelling that fallacy for me.

HAHAHA - "positive feedback", wow your delusion is total. Basically calls me a liar and thinks I should be the nice one and THANK you for "positive feedback", I've heard it all.

So yeah, if anyone would like to actually discuss exploration and has other sights I should add to a future video please, I'd love to hear from you but I'm done with commenters like these. If only this forum had a block function maybe it could be useful so you could more easily ignore people like this.

I look forward to hearing from explorers and the sights they love, we'll see if it's possible to get back on track.

I get no joy from arguing, but I love talking about our galaxy, so I'll share some things I think should be included in part 2:

I sure many others will suggest this one, but The Dryau Awesomes should be included. Spectacular views to be had and I recently found out that it has a pair of colliding moons!

I noticed you included some footage of a GGG, but none were mentioned on the list. If I had to pick one to highlight, it would have to be Green Glory. The "Supreme green-ness" of the one in Floasly with more rings and more moons. Plus, it's pretty close to home.

Finally, my personal favorite, Breakthrough Echoes. Three Earth-like worlds all orbiting around a gas giant and one of them is ringed! Easily the highlight of DW2 for me.

Sorry, but I've already been to all of those ingame myself and they usually appear in a lot of videos across the board, so nothing special there...
Besides, almost all of them are either in the bubble or very close, so not exactly where the typical explorer would go, more like local space tourism.
I don't wanna devalue your work, I've read the discussion above. But also wanna point out that there are other content creators who do in fact travel vast distances to capture the beauty of those deep in the black gems. Gonna link some here:

No no no - PLEASE don't take that attitude. It's awesome that you shared it with the forum and your post is probably the point of reference I'll link in my Best of Forum thread (over the video itself). Like anything on the internet you have to either ignore the negative responses or reply politely and calmly to them - not go straight for outright confrontation (that's my quick tip anyway).

I love that video, it's a terrific collection of sights, but when you're putting together a tour or even adding stuff to a todo list (as I've just done) then you can't beat a written list in the OP of a forum post for reference, and you can't beat a forum thread as a place for people to add their own additional suggestions and amendments, etc.

Speaking of which ...

Re: Testicle moon (lol) - by coincidence my screenie from there was featured in FD's "Wish You Were Here" post this week.

That planet is an awesome place, not only for "canyon running" for the ship lovers, but also "ridge running" for the SRV afficianados!

(how far can you drive along that ridge without falling off!)

Oh, and since you mentioned Mt Neverest ... that's another epic place to take the SRV!

What the heck Alec... that looks even more mad than Pomeche! I dare you to drive that ridge in the front from one end to the other...
Guess I'll need to visit before Odyssey drops!

If you watch the vid I started at the wide right hand edge of the nearest ridge. Got about halfway along and then drifted off course, managed to bounce off the middle ridge and land on the third one. Kept going for a while, didn't make it to the end tho so that challenge is still there if anyone wants to pick it up again!
