Also for anyone that may not have already seen, here are some cool things that've come from the live event being shared on our Elite Racers Discord.


1) As a joke, Shaye Blackwood was challenged to complete the turn around at Weierstrass without touching the ground.
Shortly thereafter Shape posted a video...

2) After the live event, cratercamper used the SRVtracking data and some magic to make this...

Since I DNF'd I'd better submit at least one TT run for Hyldeptu. I'm sure I had faster but this is the only practice video I kept (somewhat entertaining since I came under fire from the lab on the 2nd lap).


I make that a 23:50. I had planned to do some TT specific runs afterwards but had grown a bit sick of the course by the time the live race was over. I might still take a break from Skinfaxi practice and go back for another attempt at a decent Hyldeptu TT run.

Oh, and let's get a Skinfaxi TT submission in early while I'm at it. This one's a 15:57 to the outer marker I believe.

NOTE

  • Finish line is " 'drive' past the outer perimetre fence"
  • Special rules regarding the finish line, SEE IMAGE BELOW

Standard Rules
  • Racers must drive their SRV from start to finish without blowing up
  • Repairs are only allowed by recalling and boarding your ship (boarding repairs SRV)
  • Refueling is allowed while parked under your recalled ship (synthesis refuels SRV) or by using your other SRV.
  • Ship recall issues are considered pit stop mistakes
  • Only basic synthesis is permitted (no upgraded fuel or hull) - 'tis a gentleman's game!
  • Racers must obey course specific rules where applicable

:) For a 'banker' that's a damn quick run. I think Stage A will always be slower, it's mostly uphill for the first 5-10 km, takes ages to build up speed. Efficient stop too.

btw Alec, you're using Windows Movie Maker yes? Are you splitting the footage first to speed sections up then recombining or is there another way to do that?

Yeah, I just do a split after the first bounce and before the last bounce and then 4x the middle section.
