Lost a rover, and now cannot use the others I have

I am out in the Keplers crest, with my Anaconda equipped with 4 scarab rovers.
I just lost one.

Now I still got three of them, but when I try and deploy them after landing, I cannot. The "deploy" is not active, as if all the scarabs slots are empty (but they are not)

Working as intended or bug?

Should work. You have power to the PVH? And sure you have scarabs? Pics would be nice.

Also: There's a few FC out in Keplers (I'm out there in a CM3 somewhere as well!), so you should be able to dock to rebuy your SRV. Pick a DSSA one if you can - they won't jump away on you.

Ok, apart from feeling stupid but... What's the purpose of it?
My Anaconda telling me that if I die in an srv I am too stupid to go out?
Lol...

Yeah I got blown up by a high security settlement a few days back, when I returned to exact my revenge my SRV hangar had been toggled off.

Not sure why it does this.

Edit: It’s possibly an energy saving safety precaution.
When you drive too far from your ship it takes off on its own even though sometimes having the hangar switched on will exceed power priorities.

To save complications for explorers, FD may have it set so that when the SRV leaves the hangar it switches off and when you return it switches back on...

....but if you don’t return the usual way (get blown up) it doesn’t trigger.

Guess.

My guess is that it's a bug, and it's one that's not going to be fixed anytime soon since it isn't exactly game-breaking.

This is possibly the reason. I remember a while back people were complaining and bug-reporting "look my ship dismissed itself then fell out of the sky and died", sometimes with videos, and it was something that other players (who didn't experience the issue) couldn't reproduce deliberately for the life of them. If power priorities getting reset (which happens occasionally) was the cause, then having the ship automatically turn the PVH off when deploying the SRV is exactly what I'd do as it's the only module that's not used in-flight that a cmdr is likely to have turned on upon landing.

Well...there’s a simple way to test.........but I ain’t doing it....😂

It’s funny, Cknarf posted their unfortunate experience with this problem over on this thread yesterday.

Yeah, I think FD may have done something about this one.
