Game Discussions Star Citizen Discussion Thread v12

i read that post, now archived lol due to Reddit karma whatever that is....and the OPs defence of CIG is that he doesnt believe them. He doesnt believe them and yet other people should be punished for asking for their money back or informing others what their Consumer Rights are and how to get their money back if they dont believe it. Its a weird defence..

Have to agree with the backers on this one, looks like a drive by troll attempt, and a damn dumb one at that.

Check out their post history though. They might have been chemically influenced while coming up with that idea.

The account hasn't been deleted (yet), but the post has.

Does that happen when just the post is deleted?

Thought it meant the account was deleted too.

Nice how the more fervent SC backers have pet names for everyone who didn't drink the Kool-Aid... or spat it out once they realised it came from a poisoned chalice :D

On a similar note, when I bought back in after refunding my original account I discovered that the username and account had been banned and access locked by Ci¬G...they even point blank refused to reactivate it after I requested they un-ban it leaving me to create the current one. ;)

Gotta have one now for prison merits, whats one more? 🍻

just out of interest, and Im fairly sure you and your mates have worked it out ;) how many accts do you need to just flip one every time you get sent to prison while the others 'do their time'?

As much as it pains me to say it, this might be (against all the recent evidence) a good data protection policy, in todays world theres no absolute guarantee that it is the same person trying to reactivate acct so could be ID fraud or a way in to stealing identity, so some dont allow it just in case, extreme rare scenario but better safe than sure, thats why all the checks before allowing the final deletion, to make sure you do want to do it. Just a possible defence of CIG....

....I feel a bit sick now.

Since I tried to reactivate the account on request using the same credit card and email address, I'm more inclined to believe that Ci¬G are still counting cancelled or refunded user accounts as active accounts in their database. Even the email address I used to open the original account had been banned ;)

And CIG were quite right in not letting a filthy reFUDster like you get their account back :sneaky:

As bad as that is for Accounting, Im fairly sure it breaks GDPR unless Legitimate Interest, but that only holds for so long. They cant just keep the data for no reason.

Just one. And multiple people can be supported by the one account.

The alt is just a bank for merits that you use to get out of prison. When you leave prison you lose all your merits, so that is why the one account has to stay in prison, so the merits don't get wiped out.
