The cockpit pod is raised as per the digital art book right-most picture for the SRV variants. Be nice if we get some more Scarab stuff with the next expansion.

Slightly related: I was just one of the current Story sites, and this is the first time I've ever seen the SRV with its pod open (excepting the fan-made animation that came out a whiles back). Harbinger of things to come?

Looks interesting, although I think this is similar to the artwork slip up FD had over the Challenger and Crusader (where one ship seemed to share both ships features).

Personally I think the FD need to add some new vehicles and make sure they integrate with the 'space legs' expansion, if they're expecting us to walk everywhere then it's going to be a pretty disappointing experience.

If they give us the option to hire surface vehicles when we’re away from our ships...the latest episode about a certain Mandalorian has given me a taste for riding into a dusty, remote settlement, strolling into a bar and getting a kill-the-thing mission 😁

I’m really hoping the NPC surface vehicle AI programmer position got filled at FDev as well.

they need completely different SRV's not rehashed flavours of SRV that basically look the same, that's just lazy like the chieftain variants, although its likely the half hashed nonsense we will get

Maybe Odyssey is going to bring in the option of modding the SRV with different loadouts? Lose the current gun and replace with increased storage, life support cabin (for medevac) or a bigger gun and zero storage?

That's exactly what it is.

I doubt it'll be the only teaser we'll have over the coming months.
