193 thousand ships visiting Dromi, trading Blue Steel

Finally a use for my Hafnium 178 cache ;) Operation complete!

Edit: That's ridiculous - Sidey -> Beluga in the n00b zone in 30ish minutes :ROFLMAO:

Got myself a free Epic account and I was amazed at how things have changed for the new Cmdr.

Back in 2015, I was in an Adder for what seemed like months before I could get anything better.

The best throw back this time was having to 4 jumps(!) to complete a delivery as I only had a 8 LY range on my Cobra.

... though handily when fdev says landing at Starports will revoke your licence they seem not to worry about surface bases with shipyards .. Operation Beluga is back on 😈
Wait seriously? That seems like a significant oversight.

I wonder if that includes Engineer bases too? There's at least a few you can unlock without ever docking at a starport. 🤔

EDIT: come to think of it, you could definitely satisfy McQuinn's requirements without ranking up, if you're strategic about exactly which ships you kill for the bounties. Woo starter zone overcharged multicannons! 🥳

You definitely can; I've gotten his invite in the High-RES beside Mawson Dock. Haven't tried heading to Wolf 357 yet, question is if you can get the mats?

Yeah, the F2P effect.
It's smart thinking - more candidates for the upcoming DLC offering and more potential for the store.

Checking the traffic in 4 weeks there and nearby will be more interesting, though. Player retention.

Players spread out and visit other areas of the Milky Way, and become locked out of Dromi.

Dromi is a gauge for how many new players are coming into the game, not how active the overall game is.

Exactly....

PS.
I do wonder how many of these are 2nd, 3rd, 4th (5th?) Alt Accounts btw...

Also, isn't the traffic report duplicating player movements - if I visit the system 3 times in a row in a day, won't that show as 3 Sideys (or whatever other ship I was flying). Given the starter area is only a few systems, those numbers would need to be taken with a pinch of salt anyways.

Having said that though, it was great to see so many hollow squares/triangles without getting interdicted for a change:p
