I am very happy there is this animal talk going on but its not enough for longevity as this needs to progress and get deeper like a skill tree or it will just run boring.
The educators need to have long long bonds with that animal like in real life for them to be equipped enough to talk about an animal they are caring for
TO make it fun and interesting educators needs to be constantly near the animal to see what skills will unlock for them to talk about it.
Educators are given lots of enrichment so they can train the animal to see which of these skills will unlock.
Educators will not just speak but can show unique tricks the animal can do cause of the long bond and the dedication and training provided.
Players can click on guess to see what they have learnt about the animal if the educator have passed on the information to them.
Should be lot of side activities to do!
Permanent long time vistor are also needed as you don't want them to go away and forget but come back and see what you done to improve things???
Educators should also talk about how they are improving? How they are learning in their babble language. So guest will remember the next time they come!
Pressure mount on players to deliver! This can be an option that is turned off.
They should also be varied types of injured animals brought to the zoo so educator can tell the guess how they are providing and caring for them! It can be a player challenge to see what the best way to care for these injured animals.
Should be events where the zoo is needed to take in animals going to be slaughter and this will effect the reputation of the zoo. Give players a problem of what they are going to do!? Help or ignore? As time goes on players can look at what your zoo stands for and what it does not!
This will encourage players to not just look at the zoo for visual stimulation but actually tour the zoo and see what the player have done to give the best care to the animals? This is why we need more tools for this to occur as right now players are not actively building their zoo for this purpose. You just build it as nice as possible follow a few rules and that is my zoo. But this idea take its further and it not just about placement of objects but how the placement of object is enriching the animals lives in certain ways not seen before. Maybe less animals and bigger area will trigger certain health benefits not see in a cramp zoo? Certain behaviours turned on? Like in the real world? The fin of a killer whale will be straight instead of floppy in zoo with the capability to have such large areas of exploration to swim.
Players will be building to unlock certain health benefits and behaviors and paying close attention to the research of how it should be done. This building now becomes more focus more on conservation and the animal then just building for fun.
It just not enough to put an enrichment bowl and change its object every now and again this is not education as the player is not learning anything of why its done....
I hope there will be long tours of educator just taking a group of people around the zoo teaching them things about each animal.
I hope this get into a DLC if players want to concentrate on this type of activity.
