Funniest / Weirdest systems you've came across on your ED journey by far!

One of the funny systems I've once come across in 140hours of Elite was called "Phanes", the system has a carrier named Skuzzlebutt or something like that and a ELW planet named "Wilde's World", a very interesting system I might add. There is one that I know the name of but maybe someone else knows about it and wants to share it, the first planet, a landable one, is so close to its star that is literally in its corona... you may need a few heatsinks to land there.

Share your own uncommon system here!

Sounds like something the 1%'s would tagline their orgy / party system.

"totally boring, you definitely dont want to go here. Everything is 300k ls from the star"

Apologies it was a system called Orerve

And it was a dull, not boring place...

The craziest system I've ever passed through is HIP 63835.
It's crammed FULL of Stars, Dwarfs, Gas Giants & Black Holes (one of which is literally right next to the main star in the system and the other two appear to be in a binary orbit with more bodies orbiting them).
I remember the first time i passed through it while doing a bit of exploring and thinking to myself "What the hell is going on here?!"

There are a lot of systems and stations with names that are swear words in portuguese. "Bunda" and "Foda" are examples of those. You can use google translator if you want to know what it means. It leads the portuguese community to hilarious conversations

there's a bunch of earth like systems (that means they have life and liquid water etc) orbiting neutron stars in the exploration forum that need some explaining. I've been to at least one of them.

hard to keep track of tens of thousands of systems over the course of 5 years. The weirdest (wrongest) that come to mind though are the systems with stars that are actually colder than 0C. Yet they produce enough light to illuminate the system they're in. And that's not infrared light being projected on the view screen. Such a missed opportunity to actually implement dark systems in the game.

GRU PHIO EL-Y E21 is a neutron star system I ran across 4-5 years ago with a Class V gas giant just 1.3 million miles away on a 0.4 day orbit. The planet is so close to the neutron star and so hot, it outshines any star I had ever seen in the game -- when I entered the system, I was greeted with such a bright flash that I jumped out of my chair.

They've made some graphical changes over the years, so I'm not sure what it looks like now, but this is what I captured at the time:

I can relate, I'm Romanian and I found a system that would be sort of a swear word in romanian, "Mata".

Holy... and I thought Pollux was bright, haha.

The craziest thing, which I haven't seen in-game yet, is a black hole and especially if it's in a system.

Bloody Heck! If I was greeted by this I would just assume I'd died in transit, jumped into Limbo and St Peter was about to give me a good telling off for all my poor life choices.

that would be skardee 1.

nobody has mentioned the pareco system here yet? a bunch of stations orbiting "nothing", and you can fly from station to station without supoercruise. in fact ithey are orbiting a comet, which are simulated by the stellar forge, but there are no visuals or interactions with it in the game.
