300 Million credits an hour in Taygeta system

I missed the party but I'm happy for those who managed to reap large amounts of credits, these things happen from time to time and it's a buzz for those who benefit, while at the same time making zero difference to anyone else's gameplay.

Fortunately most of us kept quiet and carried on until last week when the cat got out of the bag.
I guess if we don't tell anyone that they only nerfed one half of the profitable missions, and left the other one alone, then people who can search for themselves will find them anyway, and people who want to be told everything will believe it's all been nerfed and not go looking. Win-win :)

For your next gold rush, consider Musca Dark Region PJ-P b6-1 Betancourt Base where the CG is concluding and ATM is at tier 4, which promises x3 exploration data payout for the next two weeks.

Passenger missions from there could be used for a side profit.

I feel like using colorful language at the op. 2 days. It was available from day 1. Well he got noticed thats for sure.

I hate it when people have to learn life lessons at the expense of others.

Well. how much did you all make?

I did 3 billion over a few days without breaking a sweat :p

I have to say i'm glad but I really don't think this is linked at all. Would try again no doubt

I liked it when it was 100% rng finite tick based like tritium trading with infinite demand. That was the best experience we've ever had imo. For delivery all you have to do is call the lemmings and you get infinite boom so its not that interesting.

7 billion over 6 days... But I did have to travel over 30 LY between acquire & sell locations...

Yeah i was at a difference place as well. There's a regular crew in the system, and was watching the traffic reports, it didn't change at all throughout so yeah they're awesome.

I couldn't stomach any more. I was hedging my bets that some noob would let the youtubers know soon, so had to make the most of it weekend before last. So ate too much. Then i did my alt account last week.

There was some social data there though:
  • The pied pipers which frontier only know about aren't currently playing elite. Like the rest of us anyway. Even some of the yamicks content is more based on official communication rather than what's actually happening in the game. Wonder if frontier should change their priorities on who they jump the highest for. EDIT: Either that or they were smart enough to know that as soon as they made a video it would get turned off.
  • Frontier aren't actually checking metrics. In one nod and confirmation, at least they can respond to the forums. But that 2 weeks... We know for certain that there was at least one "update" in between when it was introduced and today, so there is a chance they really didn't know.
  • We rock for not making a big deal about it until it actually happened. That was great, had fun pretending we were being sneaky and all that.
Also the risk and reward people don't care anymore see frontier why not look at progression instead?

It was good while it lasted.

I literally just came back to the game after a year’s hiatus hoping to finally get enough for a fleet carrier (only have 401 mil in the bank now), but before I can even finish reconfiguring my gaming chair setup from MSFS back to ED, that hope is gone.

Almost tempted to go back into hibernation since it seems nothing has changed, aside from a minor station UI tweak.

Hehe, my hopes for FC gone in the last few weeks. With my current playstyle and time I can spend playing ED, INARA predicts that I will get my 5bln (basic FC w/o bells and whistles) in the next THREE YEARS... I am nearly sure I want stick around that long...

Depending what you're willing to do, you can still make enough for one. I did it in about 10 weeks mostly from pirate massacres, some boom time trading and Robigo passengers. With the massacre missions being the most lucrative. In fact, that is easier now. Don't even need to do wing missions these days.

Those 10 weeks were pretty casual. I fit in an entire session of engineering ships too (Chieftan and Corvette).

Do pirate massacres actually work now? I tried one about 2 years ago and it sent me to a system with no mission targets to be found. Never tried again because of the faction reputation hit for having to drop the mission.

I am sure they have forgiven you after 2 years. Despite such an atrocious act.

I've not encountered that but there's definitely that initial requirement to investigate a solid mission and target system to maximise results.

Don't restrict yourself to the mission USS points. They're useful to get appropriate targets but a good res or compromised nav beacon are better if you're killing targets fast enough (less super cruise).

But solo massacres pay upwards of 40m for... 30 targets I think it was, maybe 40. Stack a few from different factions and it's very lucrative.

This is a useful tool for finding systems: https://edtools.cc/pve

Thanks. I’ll give it another shot. I know my home station is offering pirate massacre missions at the moment and I need to get the dust off my Vette and FdL.

Cool. Even if you can't stack 5 missions there easily, just getting back into it is a good start. That's what I did in the summer when I returned.

Even just doing one for 40m feels good imo. And that's about 8 to 10m in bounties these days too.
