No access to carrier cash for ship insurance rebuy

I believe you can sell assets for cash. Been that way for years.
I'm not sure though, my last rebuy was a long time ago.
Well...

👆 This.

I'll be damned...

Just goes to show we don't die much. I think total is still single digits.
I'm not really into PvP, so it's easy to avoid. Last time I died on my main account 1,5 years ago. I remember it well, because out of boredom I did some weird FAOff manouver in front of peacefull Thargoid patrol just before they switched my engines off, so I bumped into one of them while drifting and it made them very angry.

But I just checked - there's "your stored ships" button indeed, but for some weird reason I never noticed it before - I guess I always had rebuy cash, so there was no need to check other options.

That sounds like a hard learning lesson, sorry for your loss CMDR o7 I had thought that will be the case, since when you are on the rebuy screen you don't see all your money, only the amount in your pocket.

If it was engineered, considere asking the frontier support about it. Could be a long shot but worth the try

I guess think of it like a bank charge, just because I have some cash in one account doesn't mean I won't get instantly charged for being overdrawn on another account.

The thieving so and sos

If you don't have enough money in your account to pay a direct debit, it will bounce, however much money you have in your account with another bank. :)

Same principle.

No it's not lol! If your Sky TV direct debit bounces nothing happens except Sky try to take it again after a few days. You would transfer money from your other bank account to cover the second direct debit attempt. You don't have to sell your second car immediately to stop your Sky being turned off...

But it is quite bad that there's no option to transfer credits from YOUR carrier account.

The analogy would have been better if they said debit card rather than direct debit - so the way I see it is if you have all the money in the savings account (analogous for the carrier) and you go to the shops to buy a pack of beer, when you present your debit card that has insufficient funds in the account behind it, the teller isn't going to be letting you leave the store with your beer...
