As a key worker I've also worked throughout the UK lockdowns and restrictions. Unfortunately, many friends and clients have been negatively impacted, some directly due to isolation or hospitalisation (thankfully no-one I know has been killed).

I’m in an industry that relies on people being able to go to a site to work and relies on people being able to deliver equipment and materials, even during the initial hysteria we managed to carry on and deliver projects, it just cost a little more with profiteers charging £5 for a item of crappy substandard ppe
Im not belittling the whole situation but it’s a tall order for a software company to fall back on that excuse when they already have a proven track record of delays
