Where is the Odyssey gameplay video were promise today?

This. It actually made me LESS hyped for Odyssey. A bunch of dramatic angles of generic walking avatars and a paltry 15 seconds of generic CoD shooty shooty is...

idk what it is. it's a disappointment.

its because they keep hyping it up then letting down. The announcement should have been by the way there will be a 30 sec clip of odyssey at games award.

Indeed. Instead they were like "we delayed the next Dev Diary because we are preparing something big that we think you'll all love."

And then that big secret thing was...a crappy 1min sequence of "gameplay" that was primarily just dramatic angles of generic avatars walking

This is what I'll be doing, simply waiting until Odyssey is out to decide if I'm interested in buying it or not. FDev seems intent on not really showing us much so okay then, no biggie. If OA pops a reveal video up maybe I'll notice it, if not then oh well.

The trailer was a bit... meh.
I agree with others, it kind of looked like a low rent Call of Duty or similar. Not necessarily bad, just, well, very average. Especially considering it was released in between trailers for other games that looked much slicker - other games where I thought “whooaaa that looks great”. Followed by Odyssey where I thought “these graphics aren’t very good, the character walking motion doesn’t look right at all”.
Look I love ED, of course I’ll be buying Odyssey, but I’ll be doing so with my eyes open...

This and mega threads about complaints about a trailer being short. I have two teenage children from whom I expect these sorts of first world problems. I thought the average age here was 40+ yet...

I will be buying it - if only to support the years of gameplay I've had for 20-30 quid. I think they deserve at least another 30. If it's a turkey then I'll probably just go play something else, but I'm happy to fork over the cash.
