The original thread makes for some really funny reading now

"Star Citizen is going to cost about 12 million dollars, I like to know how much Frontier are putting up or do they think 2 million quid will cover it.?"

"the biggest difference as it is right now is that Star citizen actually has content availerble for kickstarters to view, have some basic game functioning... Elite does not, nothing but vague details and a publishing date... so far there is nothing to support for elite, there is for star citizen.
yes i would so love to see a follow up on frontier and first encounter, elite was a great game for it's time but i much prefere the later games, newtonian physics and many of the design choices that made them great such as news papers and personal contacts...
i for one would love to see a lot more personal interactions for elite 4, interactions to my crew and people i can meet outside, like in bars and shops.
local wars that can be influenced, dynamic factions and local news papers
but i am on a wait and see what details is going to be forthcomming, 1.5 years to get something out is... questionable and more so with frontier's recent track record and finances"

"Star Citizen looks awesome - the guy has put a lot of effort into it and shown us something that I believe has potential, but it isn't Elite. I will be bluntly honest here - the more time that elapses with no evidence; the more people start to doubt; it's beginning to make me feel uneasy about my "investment" in Elite:Dangerous."

"SC finishes in 11 days you won't have a chance to back it in Jan 2013. I just don't know if I want to back it or not. I'm worried I'll get stuck with some crap like STEAM. I just want th file, CD key and that's it!"

"I backed SC and Limit Theory too. For SC I've got two ships waiting for me. Yes 2014 will be a busy time, but like the rest of you, Elite is where I will spend most of my time :)"

Ohhh, haven't looked at that thread in a long time. Will have to have a read for some laughs.

I think you continue missing the point here and misunderstanding the scale and impact of the issue in each case. Cyberpunk bugs can not be that "game-breaking", otherwise the game would not be receiving multiple top percentile scores as we speak.

On the other hand SC performance issues and bugs are still, after a similar or larger amount of years in development, abysmal, frequent, massive and indeed game-breaking.

I mean, if you still prefer to willfully miss the point or disagree by relating both like you do I would then suggest you propose SC to be released as is and see if it gets the same review scores as the game that you alleged has "game breaking bugs in a gold version".
Yep. Cut and paste off steam as of 30 seconds ago.

It's official.
CP 2077 HAS MADE PC HISTORY ON STEAM TOP 20. 1M+ peak PC players on RELEASE (this is a very BIG keyword) day. :ROFLMAO:

BEAT ALL AAA Shoters & PvP games Period. Bugs or no bugs, this game is GOTY 2021. PERIOD. CR needs to be taking some serious notes on this.

edit: looks like some 67% of GTAO players have finally defected to playing something else. Why do I suspect the new DLC R* dropping couple days from now won't be doing a damned thing to reverse this?

You got your comic, the artist maintained their integrity.

Genuine Roberts waves hands at the helm of a yacht commanding his fleet of zero games.

It actually means that Roberts too can salvage his integrity IF he delivers at the end....regardless how late. I mean thats the morale of that story aint it?

I m just a believer of handing out respect and admiration at the right time when its appropriate. I usually dont do this sycophantic "I have faith" chatter thats so widespread in the SC community
