Escape pods aren't realistic either - as an explorer at the * end of the wood you could drift for centuries without being picked up.

Ship explodes - escape pod - rebuy
Fighter explodes - only telepresence - go back to ship
SRV explodes - assumed telepresence - go back to ship
So what happens if you get wiped out in a gun battle in an outpost?
If you end up on the ship do the suits basically just contain avatars?
If it's just telepresence/avatars why do the suits need oxygen?
