... page where you can link Frontier and twitch is working like numerous other things in Elite (sadly). As first: for log-in into account you need few attempts.
Then it ask to log into twitch account (it works). Then it should show that accounts are linked ... but no, it seems doesn't working, it only show that you can link account again (no confirmation that accounts are linked). .. I've checked my (newly created) twitch account settings, there it shows connection to Frontier Development

... sigh, tickket to support sent.

Question that everyone in AXI is asking:

Q: Are there plans for on foot Thargoid combat in the near future? From what we understand there are no plans at launch making everyone seriously disappointed :( It feels like a wasted opportunity not to have such iconic enemy in this new area of gameplay.

This will likely be like how the Thargoids content was introduced, a few months later with the Horizons updates. Would be kind of underwhelming if Thargoids were immediately accessible for on-foot combat upon launch.

It wouldnt be underwhelming for majority of the AX community. We just want to know if there are any plans in the timeframe of a couple of months from launching Odyssey. So far it seems like there is no real content for us there.

Having content at launch of a new expansion doesn't seem underwhelming to me :unsure:

If I had to guess, I bet that they'll want to be pretty tight lipped about on foot AX combat because:
a) When it drops, it'll probably be accompanied by a major in universe development.
b) They like to do surprises.
c) Saving it for later is a good way to generate a second wave of post odyssey hype.

Question: Will Odyssey allow for PvP in Open Mode? Are there any details you can disclose on that?

The reason why I say it might be underwhelming is because, if Thargoids are immediately available at launch, that might not flow with the lore or story very well, and ruins their mystery a bit. Likewise, Frontier are not as silly as to ignore such a big part of the narrative, so I'm pretty sure there will be AX foot-combat coming in the future. We just have to be patient.

Understandable, but look at it from our perspective. What is the incentive for us to buy Odyssey? It is repeated that Thargoids are a major part of ED universe, yet we are starved for content on that front. It is hard to decide to buy Odyssey on launch or pre order it while we don't even have confirmation if something is coming at all in the year after release.

This has been fixed now.. you have to unlink and relink your account, but the old error has been quietly fixed by Frontier

All the people who didn't get it last time missed out because the link wouldn't allow people to add xbox accounts, it would give you a infinite error message. This may have been resolved but we won't know till the stream is finished unfortunately.

There is a forum post about this as well as a few work arounds in it. It's a good job fdev are letting us try and get the purple twitch drops again.
