How to Reach HIP 58832

The Prickly Blackfish has just arrived via Spansh's FC route planner. I'll find out how far out we are when I log in later.

I hear there's a bar, see you in there. I'm just ironing a clean shirt.....it is opening night after all.

That’s...kinda lame. Either shell out for a carrier or be at the mercy of someone running a taxi service.

The whole game is about credits now. FDev are basically saying grind the latest exploit and buy an FC or you miss out. As I've said repeatedly on the ED Reddit, if only they had locked FCs behind rank instead of letting anyone with enough credits buy them, the galaxy and community would be very different. As it stands practically everyone is only interested in credits now and FDev have pushed it in that direction. Not sure whether intentionally or through pure shortsightedness, but what do I know.

Other way round surely, Credits are less important now?

The sense of achievement derived from the simple accumulation of credits, a primary goal of the game at launch has been reduced drastically. This allows those that have other goals, things for which mere credits are only a means to an end to be focused on.

I’m just being a cynical git. Thinking some may decide to leave their Carrier there when they’ve had enough of it. Fill up the system so others can’t get in.

Although true cynicism would suggest no one would bother going all that way just to dump a Carrier.

....and not be able to get back? Ok, now I’ve confused myself
They can get back in a Sidewinder.

Out of curiosity, what kinds of prices are being offered for the commodities listed in the galnet article? Particularly interested in the rares. Enough to make caring about rares worth it?

I know, just the language of the galnet post suggested it might not be the case and they might be worth more than usual. Oh well.

A reckless commander might try mucking about with the hackable ports on Rackham's Peak, incur a bounty, flee from system security at a snail's pace because he left his undercarriage down, and find himself at a prison facility back in the Bubble. 🤔

Unless they have one there, which would be sneaky.

Yeah I had one (FC), got bored of it after a month, the Tritium Benny Hill situation just turned me off the whole FC thing. That and a perceived utter non utility of an expensive asset.Happy to keep my tens of Billions, Modules and Fleet in a secure non upkeep location.
If i need to get to this location ill just get my Squadron to give me a lift
This whole thing is to promote sales of FC. You mean you don't have an FC? Aww.

I'll have to do some sums on shipping freight to Rackham's Peak.

50k/t profit on Liquor.

But tritium costs 50k/t (from Large-pad stations, 45k/t from outposts). Cheap tritium no longer exists.

So I'd have to load enough liquor for the profits to outweigh the cost of shipping. And while I should be able to load it with a T9, I'd have to use a Python for unloading at Rackham's Peak.

Hmmm.
