Odyssey expansion question

Hi

I moved my base game with horizons to steam after purchasing on the fdev store using keys. My question is can i preorder the dlc on steam and would it work on release day?

I see no reason why not. I mean, you open it with steam and it's in your steam library, no? For a more reliable answer, however, submit a ticket to Fdev themselves using the contact page and ask them directly.

I mean, I can open my Epic version and log into the account I made on my Steam account and vica-versa. It's all about the fdev avvount and what access it has. And if your account you use is linked to your steam profile (which it should be if you're playing via steam) then when you buy it'll put odyssey access on your frontier account. Which is what's used for actually playing, steam is just a platform, hence why you can't family-share ED to another account and play it without purchasing a second copy of it for a separate frontier account.

Well, yes. But I was giving the OP the information they may need on why I say yes and whether they think a non-dev member of the general community is correct so they can decide on whether to just straight up ask frontier, instead of us.

Cause if I simply said yes, and got a bunch of my mates to jump on the bandwagon, we could simply be trolling, no?
