I'm a very serious zoo builder and there's no avoiding the fact that eventually the piece count as well as other things will start to take their toll on the PC.
I am already doing the best I can to reduce the game-based factors trying to retain as smooth gaming experience as possible; limiting guests, not doing custom walls and so on.
Still I notice that I can't get nearly the same smoothness with my rig as I see some YouTubers have. I have downloaded some of their maps and my fps and freezing rate is much worse than theirs.
I currently have a Ryzen 5 3600 CPU running mostly between 4100 and 4200 MHz; I have an RTX 3060 ti and 16 Gb of 3200 MHz DDR4 RAM.
I used to have a GTX 1080 and where GPU performance matters, things have improved noticeably. But I'm still getting low fps on some Steam maps where the YouTubers do OK. I think I have either a CPU bottleneck or a RAM bottleneck but I'm not sure what exactly. My RAM usage doesn't really go past 12 Gigs though.
From what I can tell, it seems this game only fully utilizes two CPU cores at the same time - am I correct? In that case a higher clocked CPU should help, right?
I'm in the process of upgrading my rig to run this game better so I can continue my ambitious zoo project.
What would be the ideal hardware for this game? I would appreciate comments from someone who has a higher performance machine, as well.
Thanks.
