Ever Run Into Yourself In Game?

Nothing unusual about this, the game is just giving us glimpses of the multi-verses, where we may exist in numerous "places" at the same time!

RL physics have explored this possibility from what little I've read. Now if FD could get on board with the law of motion; Yes, I'm looking at you thrusters!

I'm from a very small country so I doubt I'll ever encounter an NPC with my name.

Something similar, OP. One day I saw my own Type 9 arrive at my new home base which I summoned from the old one. I did a scan but didn't get any materials... I said to myself: cheap ass !

Back when this was a concept on Kickstarter, if you backed the game with only £40, not only did you receive the game, but you were guaranteed to have NPCs named after you as well!

£500 and you could name a station, £750 and you got a planet named after you, £3,000 and you have an entire system...

As a Kickstarter reward we were asked to provide a name for the NPC database, I added my wife and found her as a system defense force in Eotienses. At least she's behaving herself.

Last night oddly doing missions the name of a politician that needed killing was the same as a good friend, I didn't take that mission.

So, while also not my name (for obvious reasons) I've run into two very special NPCs before

1. Bucky O'Hare
2. Moist Von Lipwig

But other than that no, never run into a doppleganger.

I encountered an NPC with the name I entered as KS reward a few times in the early days.
I think I've also seen an NPC with my CMDR name once. Could of course be the sort of bug mentioned a few times in this thread.

I got the Moist Von Lipwig immediately, but I had to look up Bucky O'Hare, now I feel like I've missed out on something important, oh well...maybe I can find a copy somewhere!
