If there's one thing I hope odyssey does...

Rumors and hearsay don't count as concrete information ya know...
Have you read the 3 Dev Diary topics and watched the accompanying video content?
If not, perhaps, before passing further comment in an uninformed manner, you might read, watch and take notice of the, albeit little, information already given about the expansion.

As for the negative comments, standard fare on every game forum I've visited - simply read them, compare to your own experience, then discount the majority of 'salt' as keyboard warriors getting off in the only way they are able ;)

A lot of things are known already, like tenuous atmosphere so no waterfalls (or liquid water for that matter).

Personally I expect exactly what has been confirmed - martian-like planets and what I hope is content fitting them - different weather patterns like dust storms etc.
There's no way they'd pull the "dead planet" stunt again they'd lose what's left of their playerbase and they don't want to lose that.

That's what has been told - martian-like planets with tenuous atmosphere and steppe like planetary flora (I guess there could be "forests" like biological sign locations are forests.)

"what's left of their playerbase"? :ROFLMAO: Oh dear...
Perhaps you really do just want to be negative and uninformed, your choice 🤷‍♂️

You're either delusional or trolling me. Let me ask you something: How often do you run into another player in open? If you say more than 3 an hour, I know you're lying unless you head to a system an engineer is in and then maybe you'll run into more than one. My point is, with how rare player encounters are, you can not tell me or even remotely convince me this game has a huge playerbase or even a medium sized one.

Is give us detailed worlds to explore. I can accept Horizon's planet landing thing being barren since we are landing on nothing but moons or dead planets but odyssey can't get away with this. We need forest filled, graphically detailed, breath taking visual sights in this expansion. I want to be able to get out of my ship, and want to see what's beyond that forest on my own two feet and explore said forest while collecting resources and fighting off dangers along the way.

I want to stop dead half way through said forest and gasp in awe of a detailed and realistically looking waterfall I stumbled upon while walking through said forest.

Suffice it to say, for as much as they charged me for this expansion, I better get what I paid for. :)
Nope. Its light atmosphere so basically just more rocks.

Only 12k Peak concurrent players on Steam yesterday, Dead game, Frontier should just close shop.

Compared to other multi-player games? Yes, that could be considered a "dead game" :p Friday the 13th the game had the same playerbase for a time and then in a matter of months that fizzled out. Same could happen with this game. Hope it doesn't but if this expansion is as disappointing as everyone thinks its going to be...it could be.

Do you know what "tenuous" means? I had to look it up too.

If you look at the Steam stats (there are players outside the scope of those, but they are only numbers available), the game has never had more players than that. In a fact, 2020 has so far been a very good year as far as steam stat player numbers go.

As for Friday the 13th, I'm not aware what kind of outside steam numbers it might have, but it isn't even comparable when it comes to player numbers in steam. Apparently the game servers were also shut down by licensing issues.

I think there will be more to explore with the tenuous worlds but we really will have to wait for full atmospheres for forests.

Who is the delusional one here? Your words "what remains of the playerbase" are hilarious - perhaps try researching before opening yourself up to ridicule, is does help!

Never mind, you keep on believing what you wish, chummy... I have no intention of trying to convince you of anything, you are doing fine by yourself... :ROFLMAO:

Why are you even here?

What are you talking about? the most we've seen is A SINGLE PREVIEW video. The hell is wrong with this community? One video and everyone assumes that's all we get?

There's lowering expectations and setting your expectations down with the dinosaur fossils!

There's no way they'd pull the "dead planet" stunt again they'd lose what's left of their playerbase and they don't want to lose that.

Concrete information to crush your dreams:

I just want one new different type of SRV to explore all these new planets with.

I'm sick of the inside of my Model T SRVFord.
