Galnet Update 31 DEC 3306 - THARGOIDS ATTACK COALSACK AND WITCH HEAD NEBULAS

So do either of these locations under attack actually have missions to go kill Thargoid scouts (trying to get a quick Elite in combat)? I get tired of fighting them in the peladies with no real payouts to speak of so I'd love to stack some scout killing quests are just head out there (or get there quickly and just transfer a combat ship to the area). But I don't want to make the trek if I'm just gonna be wasting my time when it's nothing but rescue missions.

Yes but they will expire if the Anti thargoids player clean out the systems with thargoid kills, each kill you do will also speed up the system cleaning...
About 300K per kill per mission when allied... 3 factions can be cross stacked... to a value of kills... making eack kill worth ~900K over those 3 missions when allied... Plus 40K per scout skill..

This doesn't seem to be generating many though... also, I can't take any of them because insufficient rep? Even at friendly rank? Okaaaaaaay...

3 burning stations in coalsack

So do they burn for the Newer 2 week time frame or the old 1 week time frame hum..

Unless fdev have scripted the stations to burn for a certain length of time (as they did with the terrorist attacks) it depends how heavy the Incursion is. In the case of a Thargoid attack they normally burn as long as the system is in Incursion state. When the Incursion is defeated the station stops burning the following Thursday and goes into a state of repair. If the system is still in Incursion by the next Thursday maintenance cycle the station continues to burn until the Incursion is finally defeated.

When we had stations being attacked every week the Incursions were usually defeated by the end of the weekend or perhaps on Monday or Tuesday. In January-February the Incursions were much heavier and stations burned for more than a week because their systems were still in Incursion on the following Thursday. This is how we discovered that in the case of a Thargoid attack, how long a station burns for is directly tied to the state of Incursion.

Unless fdev have scripted how long the stations will burn for, for story purposes, this should still be the case. Hope this helps.

You went negative state with a faction you did not click on Sirus in the image which means you messed up in local space as you clicked on alliance vangard... All factions should have been neutral by default who have you been killing... Also that sirus faction is not present in Witch head nebula thats coalsack…
Coal sack only has 3 factions witch head has over 6 factions at the rescue mega ship not limited to 3...

I've been away from Elite for the best part of eight months for RL reasons. When did someone move to the Coalsack?
