Fleet Carrier stranded up at Rockham's Peak after "incident" with security forces. Looking for Help.

It's fun to see all these elaborate excuses for FDev being only "bubble-minded" and not testing explorer distance edgecases. Or testing it with dev magic accounts and failing to notice the problem.

varanica im having trouble contacting you, gary is here and i just want to say thank you and i owe you. its like two threads are going on and we cant see your posts. im new at forums so im prolly doing something wrong.
You can ping her like so: @varonica

I'm really glad you have gotten some help OP, as I've watched this thread from the sidelines, lurking away like an evil villain behind the curtains. Such a villain, cackling into the back of his hand, then rubbing them together with glee at each passing post; holding his tongue and biding his time, waiting on each and every single momentary post, all so said mysterious evil blagard can find just the right moment to utter the most important five words used on these forums; at the moment when tragedy and loss, meet the overwhelming frustration of intense anger, and sheer exasperation so often found here. Simply so, that I may add to my warehouse of nefariously obtained in game assets, simply by uttering the simple phrase....

"Can I haz your stuff?"

But, as you have found help, and have been wonderful about the issue, I have refrained from posting, as I think you have equipped yourself splendidly in this torturous episode.

So, I shall not ask, and instead suggest kudos to you sir, for being so amiable, mature, understanding of the issue, and for simply not being a door handle.

Good form sir.

Is anyone else seeing the irony in this? The fact that the OP is a carrier owner, as in end game asset owner, ergo someone you'd expect to be a mature + accomplished and knowledgeable player,, not the sort of CMDR you'd think is likely to make a rookie "mistake" trying to loot/rob a megaship he's wanting to do business with? This action shows the OP evidently has no understanding on the looting mechanic nor the legal "crime/punishment" ramifications thereof?

I whole heartedly agree, and I did use my pirate ship to break into the station, actually had to fly back and get it from my FC because it was the only ship that had hatch breakers on it. I got caught, i got killed, and i got sent off to the brig. In my opinion the only issue i have is that there needs to be a way to fill the FC tank remotely or for lawds sake make the puny fuel tank larger. its a huge ship after all...

Aye, I get you, it must be galling to have all those officers on the bridge of the carrier and none of them capable of doing a fuel transfer, in the marine engineering section of my career I used to transfer fuel at least once, more likely twice a day. Transferring fuel isn't hard, even on a clunky old manual vessel/rig, it was little more than spi a few valves and start stop the pumps, doing regular "soundings" (dipping big tanks on a ship). On a more modern setup with computerised control system like kongsberg it was little more than a few mouse clicks to line up the pipe work and start the pump, so lord only knows what these thirty-fourth century oiks have got?

Sorry for your predicament but this is a strong case for "Remote Fueling" on fleet carriers if ever I saw one.
I suppose this wouldn't have been an issue with the orignal squadron-owned FC plan. One squadron member gets banned, designate another member to handle the refueling (assuming more than one member accompanied the FC). In essence the squadron would have been the crew instead of the current NPC cardboard cutouts.

Serious question: would it have been possible for the OP to have sold their FC remotely and then bought a new one, or do you have to be onboard and at Fleet Vendor/Administrator to sell it?

Ah, I'd wondered if getting sent to a detention centre was a way of getting out of there if you'd hitched a lift on a fleet carrier that then left without you... Good to know it works!

Because of the liquor thats in the FC i couldnt jump far enough down to link up. i quick built an asp x to 69 ly range and even fsd boosted i cant even get close to a link up spot. my carrier wont make it even to the halfway point with 550 tons of fuel. what really sucks is i have plenty of fuel in reserve i just can access it remotely. so frustrating.
You can ask someone up there to land in your carrier, you remote manage your carrier to sell Tritium, they buy it and donate it to your tank.

I was at beagle point when the FC I hitchhiked on got kicked out of the game lol

Thanks so much for the help, ive finally been reunited with my FC after 2 weeks. DONT DO WHAT I DID LOL.
I think there should be a story about you and your fleet carrier @drew have a look

It takes about a week to do that, and all his stuff would have ended up at the nearest stations, Rackham's Peak!
