How can I get access to Odessey alpha?

All of those laughing, would you just skip watching these threads/posts? You are just wasting my time. I just want to see ONE AND SINGLE ANSWER! NOT A TON OF THOSE! And not several pages to search for an answer. If you are thinking that you are smarter just because you just watch all those forums - BELIEVE ME, YOU ARE NOT. YOU JUST HAVE MORE TIME! AND IT IS UP TO FRONTIER TO KEEP US UP TO DATE!!! This is all due to lack of actual info. There is no warning or similar info about HOW AND WHEN one can get access to alpha/beta/etc. Not in Steam, not over the forums and game launcher.

I think OP had every right to assume that alpha might be available right now to those who preordered the game, so give him a break.
In fact, Frontier should specify in the store version description that Alpha is not available yet.

I suspect when it becomes available it will be made known on Steam and in the launcher.

I mean, "Alpha hasn't started yet, fdev will tell us when" and /thread might have been more appropriate given the OP but who am I to say?

Also, op, sign up to the newsletter and like Elite Dangerous on Facebook. Pretty much never miss anything that way.

Asking for anything here is a bit of a mixed, random lucky dip depending on the time of the month...

Thing is, you got the answer in this thread, near the beginning, and thanked someone for the answer, then some silliness happened. It didn't change the answer did it?

You can ask the mods to close the thread, or you can ignore (forum function) the pointless posts.

For someone who visits these forums every day certain repeating questions might seem irritating, so... don't take it personally.

If you want thread closed, click on the "report" on the bottom of one of your own posts and ask moderator to close the thread in the comment.
You can also just ignore it - if you're getting notifications of new posts you might want to click "unwatch" thread on the top right of the page.
